Finished Batman: Arkham Asylum for my...third time? Definitely still one of my favorite games ever. It just flows so well with sneaking and group battles and villain interactions, even with the disappointing finale and lame boss battles. Feels just like a part of The Animated Series.

Just started Arkham Origins and boy it's got an issue with exposition. Graphics are good except for how God damn gigantic Batman's chin is now, and the gameplay feels pretty much like Rocksteady's engine, but man these are some C-list villains and boy is that not Kevin Conroy's voice for Batman. Also, annoyed with the unnecessary switching of positions for items, but that's nitpicking. We'll see how much weight there is to both sides discussing how good the game is compared to the Rocksteady games.

After Arkham Origins I'm heading into Arkham City for a second time. I loved the combat improvements and playing as Catwoman. Also, better story I think than Arkham Asylum, which is still good, just not as climatic.

Oh by the way can you tell I'm hyped for Arkham Knight?

To me, the best idea for a Superman game would be a character action game: let Superman actually fight with enemies that he wouldn't just destroy in most of his incarnations. I don't want to see him weakened or having the city be his health bar, I want Superman to actually utilize all of his different abilities in combat and puzzles.

Imo the answer is, one, to have a Superman whose power is similar to that of the Timmverse. I don't remember where the quote was from, and I'm paraphrasing here, but they said that when designing their version of the character, they wanted it to appear as if he was struggling to do those amazing things, and to seem as if killing him was not totally impossible. The other part is, and I think this is what you mean, to have the overworld missions be tasks that require creativity or subtlety to accomplish. Or we could just say **** it and place it on Apokolips or during an alien invasion or something. That'd be cool to. We need a Superman game that's comparable to the Arkham games in genre imo. I don't want to think that he's a character relegated to flying through hoops for his video games simply because people are too unimaginative to make a game for a character commonly labeled as op (even though there are numerous video game characters who do things equally impossible). eh. Being a bigger Superman fan than Batman fan, it's a little aggravating to see one character who has nothing but bad video games, and one who not only has myriad good ones, but is constantly getting more.

oh and if it's not in an art deco setting i will ****ing riot

    ok so summer wars
    what a mixed bag

Having seen exactly one episode of The Flash (that is, the one with Arrow in it,) it's just OK. The effects are serviceable at best, the action scenes are pretty good, but the most annoying part is how bad the writing gets. Usually it's just OK, but there were moments where I just saw where the plot was going and hoped for SOMETHING different, because they act like such stock characters.
