Playing HG (I wish it was SS) for the first time has brought back my love for gen iv and I'm doing some serious planning to get a copy of Platinum and maybe SS in the future now. Not only that, but it's brought back my fascination with the lore of Sinnoh. I've been doing some reading about the creation trio, Arceus, the Distortion World, and Sinnoh's connection to Johto and it's all so damn awesome. Something about the remakes of games from ten years ago being slightly retconned to have a relationship with the then-current gen is sooo cool, and I love how HGSS was released alongside gen iv since it takes place at the same time. It makes so much sense and is like mind blowing stuff when you realize how it's connected. (This picture sums up what I mean.) I also want to get a cheating device to activate the Sinjoh event became daaaaaamn. And also other Sinnoh events because it seems like there's so many. While gen iii was rich with aesthetic, gen iv is rich with lore. I think this solidifies gen iv as my favorite gen. I'll always have a soft spot for iii for being the first gen I was really consciously aware of Pokemon, but the bulk of my Pokemon nostalgia is for gen iv and I find it immensely fascinating even now.
And am I the only one who would be bothered by the prospect of having Pt, a 3rd installment rather than D or P, and then SS, a half of another duo? Something about that is very unsettling in my brain.

This lasagna is going to go all over my oven. ...But at least it's a self-cleaning oven so there's that.

Anyway, I actually feel a lot better compared to what I did last night. But we'll see how I feel over the weekend and if I feel like genuine death warmed over, frozen, thawed, and then frozen again, I will go see a doctor about this. But it could simply be the seasons changing/allergies/another cold.

My mother has viral bronchitis. So if I could get some feel good vibes in her direction.

Okay, so it's not going to get everything. I still have to get in there and scrape off any like...charcoal turned cheese and whatnot but it's got a cleaning cycle on it?

Most ovens have a 'clean' mode on the dial mixed in with the bake and broil. As Laurence said, you still gotta get in there and scrape it out, preferably with an oven cleaning spray, but the oven does most of the work for you.

    Just came back from Interstellar.

Boy that was a head doozy. Not sure how I feel about it as a film, but I love space, and McCoughnehoweverthehellyouspellit once again shows his acting prowess.

It's very Nolan, I'll say that much. No small part thanks to being written by Chris and his brother.

You guys should just make a thread for all of your pokemon shit, where you can post all your news, updates, trades, and battle requests...

We were working on setting up a group for exactly that, but then life intervened for me and school started for most of us and it went nowhere. It's easier to come here. I don't have the mental capacity or time to deal with making that right now, school and all, and I know I'm not alone in that, but the semester's almost over so maybe then when everyone's playing ORAS and on winter break we can try and get it up again. We could just make a thread, but our idea was originally more involved than that. A big problem is that, while there are a lot of active members here who like Pokemon, that's still only like 10 people. edit: I can't even think of 10.

I hate being a pushy customer. It makes me feel bad. If I had a dollar for every time I sent out mass emails on amazon asking for pictures of items for sale and then another for pictures of every angle when they only send one, I could afford to keep buying stuff and sending more emails.

Been trying to play through the Dragon Age games to prepare for DA: Inquisition. The fight with the Arishok is the most infuriatingly broken fight I have ever had in a video game in recent memory.

I accidentally made the cast of Magi: Labyrinth of Magic into characters in my Etrian Odyssey III ROM.

At least 18 hours into Alien: Isolation and still loving it. Don't get the complaints of some reviewers saying it's too long.

Well, it's more so that they think the game becomes less interesting to play as it keeps going, but I disagree. I'm finding the plot really interesting.
