It' s neither homophobia nor hypocrisy. You don' t choose your turn offs any more than you choose your turn ons.
Wouldn' t you be disgusted if you were to watch people eat, say, bloody monkey brains ? Why ? They' re just eating like you do, aren' t they ?
What might qualify as homophobia or hypocrisy would be to ask them to stop or go away just because it disgusts you.

Actually I' d either deal with it or go away. Negotiating would only expose me to it even longer. I' d ask them to stop only if I was stuck with them, and I wouldn' t blame them if they refused or if their patience grew thin pretty quick. Would you gladly get rid of the good things in your life just because someone around can' t stand them ?

People are saying it worked for them.

    And yes that should work.

Playing Remember Me. Two episodes down.... This game's production values are through the roof, and the combat is pretty interesting too.

I'm starting to give some thought to moving out. Not so much making a motion towards doing so, but rather forward thinking.
The older I get and the longer I live with my family, the more I find the ways we live our lives are not compatible. I get very frustrated regularly, and their attitudes and behaviors are a negative influence on me. As much as I did not love being gone these five weeks (one left then I'm done oh yea so excited (but wait i have to help someone move when i get back awh)), it was nice to have time away and come to terms with these things. Moving out right now isn't a possibility, other than living at school (which is basically 2 apartment buildings in the middle of the woods with nothing to do so I don't want to do that), but forward thinking is good I guess. so. yeah. I don't know what brought this up but it's been floating around in my head for a few months and i needed to get it out. This may sound silly or frivolous to people with worse situations than I. sorry. i guess?

@61 a big part of growing up is moving out. I've been on my own since I was 18. when i was 19/20, my boyfriend and i had to move back in with my parents for about 9 months. those 9 months were the worst time i've ever spent with my family. things that never bothered me growing up were the biggest annoyances and caused the most fights between my family and i. it was a relief to finally move out again, even though the place we moved to was a nightmare. the last year has been stressful and and one problem after another, but it has made things better between my family at the very least. i'm not sure what you have going on with yours, but there definitely does reach a time where everyone realizes it's time to move on with their life.

    Finished Year One.
I liked it more than Returns. One thing that hurt Returns for me was that I had problems being invested in a story involving the mutants, a gang I knew nothing about with a leader I cared nothing about. I also didn't love that Superman was involved. I would have preferred that Batman's last outing not involve him. Of course these are only minor problems and they totally work within the book, they're personal issues. The book is fantastic and I do like it, just not as much as Year One. Year One focuses on Gordon, which absolutely thrilled me while reading it.

Year One was freaking great. Not only did they avoid using the standard villains (Joker, Two-Face, etc.,) they did Gordon tons of justice (not a Batman joke.) One thing I didn't like though was Selena's look. Not a fan of the super short hair and her mask (even if it's the old school look.)

The Dark Knight Returns, I actually read in high school. It's a pretty damn good comic, seeing Batman deal with his old age and the way the villains, especially the Joker, go about their plots. BUT, as you pointed out, I didn't quite like Superman being involved. It's obvious that Frank Miller isn't a fan of the guy, leading to so many misinformed fanboys who keep citing the comic as "when Batman beat Superman." You'd have to be blind to believe that's what happened.

y'all talk about comics in here right?

After a coworker told me a bit about it I decided to give Saga a try. I've never really read comics before, for no reason other than that none caught my interest, so I didn't really know what to expect but I absolutely loved it. He lent me Volume 1, I have 2 and 3 coming in the mail but I'm interested in maybe reading more comics now. Said coworker also really likes Y: The Last Man so I figure that should be my next step, but if y'all have recs plz send them my way~
