It's always nice seeing NaughtyDog get appreciation. I grew up with their games being huge highlights of my life and then just fell out of taste with their games. But it's like seeing that friend from high school you used to love and now no longer talk to receive an award for their profession

Well, they're that one guy I met while looking for work and we talk a lot. He shows me his new stuff and I get really excited to see it because he makes great stuff, and I decided to look back on his older stuff. It's different, but it's still great. He's just evolved in the way he works, the way most people do. And I'll keep supporting him.

Only series of theirs I've never actually played is the Crash Bandicoot trilogy (PSONE + NO HE RE-RELEASE = TOO MUCH $$$), but I adore some of the spinoffs.

Crash is great and on PSN for cheaps. Crash is a game I used to play a lot as a kid.

Addendum: It's very easy for me to see why people who like modern ND find old ND to be... weird. Likewise, I hope it's easy for people to see why those who grew up with old ND could gain a distaste for new ND

Yeah, I totally get it. I can appreciate that they wanted to make more serious games after getting a taste for darker stuff with Jak II. Luckily though, I can appreciate all their stuff since my tastes are all over the place (I bought The Last of Us and Sonic Generations together for christ's sake). No matter the genre, they make damn good games.

See, my tastes are everywhere too. I even love the Modern Warfare games. I just couldn't dig Uncharted.

No, I get it. Uncharted seems to be one of those "love it or hate it" franchises. Either you adore it or you think it's too cliche or something. And I get it. I've just had too much fun with the games, especially the multiplayer. Oh, that multiplayer is so fun.

I actually want to give a lot of credit to Uncharted 2 multiplayer for the co-op bits.

Also, credit to the Last of Us for being a game and just a cover shooter. And for having multiplayer after making a semi-original gameplay concept

Yeah, multiplayer co-op is fun when you're doing it with friends. With strangers, not so much. But the multiplayer battle with RPGs only on sniping maps always make for a good time.

And yeah, with TLoU, the gameplay feels very Naughty Dog, but the variety and survival mechanics are great (I'm barely shooting to try and hoard ammo, so I end up beating these Clickers with a pipe or board more often than not).

That whole scene looks very uncomfortable.

I don't know anything about it but all of their live videos I've seen have people right up on them.
I mean I guess if they're okay with that it's cool for the fans. I wouldn't want to be there, though.
