It's worth it to tell the stories that The Next Generation tackles. The themes are super interesting, at least to me, and it'd be kinda annoying to cut those stories into two-parts every time.

My friend, the X-Men fan, is offering to pay for me to see Days because I can't afford it. I don't know what to say. I want to accept the offer because I want to see Days, but at the same time I'm not comfortable with accepting because he's payed for me to do stuff before. It doesn't feel right. He wouldn't say why, but he wants me to see it, so I'm somewhat inclined to take him up on the offer but I would feel kinda scummy for doing it.

Just see it and be sure to collect some thoughts on the film, even if you don't know much about the comics. I guarantee that's why; he just wants to have someone to talk to about it.

This seems to be the impression that I got from this. Even if you just say like: 'Oh, I thought that one part was good.' Or something. I'm sure he'd be happy to answer questions afterwards to help clear things up.

So, Xbox Live is currently taking votes for its "annual awards." There's a category for "most heartbreaking story." Tomb Raider 2013 currently has the lead with 41% of the vote over Bioshock Infinite and some other stuff. While I don't agree because drowning and I didn't find Tomb Raider sad, I'm glad it has more exposure and like than I thought.

Also I beat BaS episode 2. Much better.

Why does no one spell it Khan though??
That's a real peeve of mine, even if it is only a minor thing.

And any show that has an hour per episode has to be good to last.

I've barely heard any praise for Tomb Raider's story, so while I can't really comment on that one, I do think Bioshock Infinite definitely has one of the more heartbreaking stories in non-indie games lately (I mean, they can't vote for non-Xbox games after all.)

Right? It feels like the guys were a lot more confident in doing something different from the usual FPS-thing, both in terms of the story and the mechanics. I also really like Elizabeth, even more so than I did in Infinite, so that's a plus.

I mean, it's an okay narrative. Can't really argue with votes- seems people liked it. I loved the exploration and the combat in that game so, hey, I'm just happy to see get any recognition.

Yeah, the enemy designs fit Elizabeth way more than they did Booker (we'll call him that to avoid spoilers, aye?). With Booker, he had super limited ammo but the enemies charged right at him so often he could melee his way through anything. He was an over powered machine to the point in was a bore. The splicers were all so similar and did similar things and the Big Daddy felt fragile. This time, Elizabeth felt fragile so it made me feel like I had to be a lot more cunning and clever which really fit Elizabeth. Not going to lie, I didn't like the return trip to you-know-where. I much preferred the Deluxe Bathysphere and seeing the Big Daddy roam about while provoking him and splicers to GET IT ONNNNNN. The other stuff... Eh . I do love Elizabeth, though I much prefer her in Infinite's main campaign. Just because in the main campaign she felt like a Disney Princess who was forced to grow up. In this, it was like she tried reverting but then had personality flips to suit the situation. Odd, but she stayed likable (of course). I was sad at the ending even and felt... empty so that goes to show how much I love Elizabeth.

It's also weird how two characters flopped roles. Like, Fink went from nothing to absolutely creative and grandiose while Daisy went from a realistic take on a revolutionary to AWW THAT POOR GIRL SHE HAD NO CHOICE SHE'S THE HERO which defeat the purpose of her being that chick who thinks she's a hero and is really exactly what she's fighting, especially under pressure.

I totally agree; part one got me bored of Booker being able to simply maul everyone, gun or not. And I still adore Elizabeth from Infinite for the same reasons you state; I just enjoyed her mature version from part two a little more. The return trip I actually liked, but it did feel way too long. Shorter would have been better.

Fink I didn't care for at all in Infinite and now I do, but Daisy...I get that she was supposed to represent the argument of "anyone can turn bad even with good intentions" but I really think they botched the execution of it, to the point that she come off as a freaking cartoon character later on in the story; a wasted opportunity. I'm glad they did what they did with her in part two, personally.

Yeah dude, everything felt like it wrapping up and then it's like OH BACK TO THAT PLACE! If it was one big area like the Bathysphere, it'd have been much better. I liked being there and I liked the story moments (that scene with Booker you know the one), but I just had no fun playing in there- especially with enemies that can easily survive a possession. Also by then, you get the game breaking powerup- stand still and turn invisible until they stop caring then hit them in the back of the head.

And yeah, Booker just plowed through everything unlike in Infinite where it felt like it was at least a give and take. In this I just mashed Y until violence.

Right? Like he suddenly got interesting! I mean, it makes sense the inventions he'd create after seeing his house is a clock built on top of drowned dogs. See though, I don't think Daisy was ever meant to be a heroine. She was meant to see oppression and punch it in the mouth. On paper, that sounds glorious. But the reason oppression was conquered in reality is because it wasn't met with more oppression and more violence. Daisy led a war of fire and became Comstock's exact reflection and acted out near her exit like a cornered cat trying claw and bite back... Then we learn she was just told to do it because reasons? I don't know man, it left me feeling she got damaged. She's more likable now but I never felt that was her point. Still, to each their own, ya?

I bet you and I did the same thing: just tap Peeping Tom to scout the area, until you got the powerup that lets you do that permanently :P

I don't really care if she's likable or unlikable, but she just felt badly written in Infinite. Her plot twist was too much and too soon. In the end, she felt like a really messy message that, except for now, nobody I knew cared about.

I did! I also ended up doing a lot of "GOT CAUGHT! TURN ON PEEPING TOM!" and then stand there invisible surrounded by Splicers and Splicerettes. Honestly, this happened way more in the return trip than in Rapture XD

I really didn't care about her, trust me, I forgot about her after I beat it up until I replayed BaS. I just thought she had some merit because of Elizabeth. Like, Elizabeth painted the revolutionaries as heroes and sided with them immediately due to media. Part of her growing up was realizing that type of fantasy doesn't exist.... but then it does.

Yeeeeee, same. Rapture also needed more varying enemy types me thinks.

Like I said, I'd have been fine with Daisy's initial story before part two if it was written a lot better.
