@DigitalAtlas X-Men is not my thing at all. The only X Men movies I like are First Class and The Wolverine. I know X2 is supposedly good but I still don't care for it all that much because something about that trilogy does not sit well with me, so even if 2 is good I probably would never go out of my way to watch it.

ALTHOUGH I did have to buy a couple issues of All-New X-Men for the Trial of Jean Grey crossover with Guardians and by the end was starting to kinda dig those characters. But other than that I have basically no interest or affection for any X Men characters who aren't McAvoy or Fassbender.

So yeah, I'm not invested in Days at all I just want to see it because at some point I decided I would see every major superhero film in theaters so as to not have regrets years in the future from having missed out. Not having seen Dark Knight in theaters still hurts.

At some point, my parents decided I was an invalid( chronic pain ) and don't let me leave the house alone aside from going to work. And the only other person I would see movies with also works in retail. So I don't really see new movies in the theatres anymore. It doesn't really bother me any. I'd rather watch movies in the comfort of my own home anyway.

Chronic pain can't really be used as a deciding factor when considering someone an invalid, can it? Because I know many people in my family that aren't bound to their house due to chronic pain.

I'm sorry about that, though. Hopefully the chronic pain isn't too much that it does keep you grounded at home.

Some days are worse than others. It's kind of tied into my pmdd and some old injuries. Likely have arthritis or what is going to be arthritis in my right ankle and foot. And certain days out of the month I just cannot move without some sort of medicinal aid. Not just the usual cramping but every single muscle and joint in my body just hurts.

And I did something to my back that is likely going to involve a chiropractor in my future.

But I'd rather sit in the comfort of my own home to watch movies. Where I have my chocolate and heating pads. Sure I miss out. Like all my friends are talking about Winter Soldier and Sebastian Stan and I'm just sitting here like: 'Hey, I just saw Thor 2! 8D'

I can usually just soldier through it though. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I haven't watched X-Men DofP and probably will not get the chance to till I visit America in approx. two weeks. I am extremely unhappy with Quicksilver's design, and I hear they changed his ethnicity to British or American, or something. Point is, he is no longer Romani. At least Blink is in it, I hope she receives the recognition and screentime she deserves.

    No more Wolverine please.

I wasn't particularly invested in X-Men movies until First Class. Mcavoy and Fassbender are great in their roles, arguably just as good as Stewart and Mckellan, and DoFP was just the best of both worlds for me. It even brought me close to tears at one point, and any movie that can do that has my respect.

Yeeeeah, it was when I saw The Last Stand that I knew X-Men was beginning to be uninteresting. Things just derived too much for me.

In other news, the stinkbugs are in my house again. DDDDD:

    @Hayabusa

Just beat Part 1 of Burial at Sea. Was good. Prefer Infinite and Bioshock 1 on their own so far, but dang Rapture was gorgeous.

Yeah, part 1 isn't that stellar. Good, but nothing really that interesting to state.

However, part 2...it's semi-polarizing, but I really liked it. The ending is a little disappointing to me, but nowhere near as bad as the endings for Bioshock 1. It works well enough for me concerning time-travel/universe jumping.

Say as little as you can about part 2, haven't started yet.

But part 1... It ended as soon as it started! And the plot twist was basically Infinite's plot twist AGAIN. A lot of it I hope receives some clarification like... Is it the same Elizabeth? Why was she talking to *guy* (spoilers and all) taking Booker's kid?

Also, easiest Big Daddy fight ever. I zapped the stairs when he stepped in water and just activated the Patriot and sandwiched him with bullets till he fell over. I made it a point to check his body after thinking it was finally about to get going... Yeah. Got going.

I agree; the most interesting bits of Part 1 came right at the ending, and it wasn't really much of a plot twist what gets revealed. A little sloppy, but eh, still enjoyable.

And I kinda think that the Big Daddies are simply so easy because we're far more mobile in Infinite due to having the Skyhook (which I'm a little confused on why it's even in Rapture...I guess it's just a thing borrowed from some Splicers?) and, as you stated, being able to manipulate such a strong moving turret at the Motorized Patriot.

On a note, I kinda felt like the most interesting bits of Part 1 were when you weren't fighting Splicers, and I kinda thought the same with Part 2, but not as much. You'll see.

The most interesting bits of Part 1 were the introduction chapter and the Big Daddy fight. Seeing Rapture when it was operational.

The plot twist was super flaccid. It was the same twist from the main game... With a twist! And let's just say that thing with the girl was easy to spot for miles.

I enjoyed it, but it's weird to me how it feels lesser than Infinite even though they should be mechanically the same. But Splicers were ... Boring. Watching them do stuff like make the ice bridge was way more interesting than fighting them because they had one strategy: to run right at you.

    i know that feel

like when i suddenly have to go out of town for 3 days meaning i probably wont finish OP before my bday

no but for real I know what you mean and can relate. it sucks.

Speaking of OP, I'm about to watch movie 11 tonight and then start part 2 tomorrow. I'm planning a massive discussion thread where I write all of my thoughts on each arc, movie, and some characters when I'm caught up. Kinda like an official OP discussion thread (pleeeeeease let there not be one already and pleeeeease nobody make one before). I want some way to reflect this massive endeavor in writing and waxing sentimental every time I reach a milestone doesn't quite cut it for the magnitude of it all.

so one piece movie 11 (30 min "movie" that's not really a movie but w/e) was really fun.
i found the whole thing kinda endearing. being short helped it. and the 3d was actually very nice. there are some sequences that look amazing.
