just got out of my AP Stats exam

you know it was productive when you drew High School Scholar Kirby and colored him in with blue pen
(i only wish i could've taken a pic of him, it was legit the best Kirby i've drawn in my life)

based sawano saving finals week for me

what a bunch of bad eggs
I've done so much doodling on exams, lol. The best worst was when I doodled a whole sequence to "Booty Man" on the scrap sheet for AP Economics.

    I would say
    "Darkness, my friend"
    But then I thought
    Darkness was never a friend
    He was my father
He had captured the light in my eyes
And crushed it into a juice
    A juice that I drank
    And spat back out

I finished Outlast earlier today. Haven't bought the DLC yet.

The game was...alright. Really great graphics for an indie title, but there was so little variety in the gameplay beyond running around and picking up specific items, and the story was too scarce, with most of the actually interesting stuff (to me) happening only at the finale. The game also made me tired of asylums.

i have a question for you guys.
Do you wear headphones/listen to music in public?

And by public I don't mean like riding a bus to work or walking on a sidewalk or sitting in a room waiting for class to start or anything like that where interaction is not a fundamental part of the event, I mean like you're sitting in a restaurant or are at an open public function of some kind with headphones on.
I was at a college graduation this weekend (hella tired btw, omg my back and legs are dying even a day later) and the person in front of me had one headphone in. Like they couldn't be bothered to pay full attention to what was going on and the reason why they were there. And then I came home and was at a restaurant and saw someone wearing those big headphones. This isn't the first time I've seen this of course, I would give more examples but I'm blanking atm, but for some reason it's always bothered me slightly. seems kinda disrespectful. like, do you have to be listening to music? are you just too cool for the setting you're in?

and then there are the people who listen to music on max volume at school or play it without headphones. ugh.

I don't because, yeah, it just seems very disrespectful. Plus I'd much rather pay attention to what's going on around me when I'm in that kind of setting.
But if I was at like a fast food joint eating by myself, then I'll listen to music. Never a restaurant though (though I never go to an actual restaurant by myself).

(This is coming from a musician so I may be a bit biased)

Music can do many different things for people. It can be the one way they calm down, it can make them happy, or be a way for them to express their emotions (even if you don't see it on the outside). Perhaps the person is socially awkward or they are just so shy that they needed a distraction.

I've done this when I've needed to learn a song but that is probably a more rare case.

Oh yeah, I'm sure there are cases where it's entirely justified but in this one instance nothing seemed to indicate that it was. And realistically there's no way I could know, but I'm inclined to believe this was not one of those times.

And I don't mean to come down on this topic super judgmentally, I was just thinking about it earlier and wondered where the people of khv stood on the matter.

I used to listen to my ipod softly during classes in college when we were taking tests. I asked my professors if it was okay and they were cool with it. Music helps me think.

But otherwise it was during breaks and between classes. Never during any other public functions.
