Well, think about it. Sora's quest ORIGINALLY started by looking for Kairi (KHI).
He found her, romantic scene at the end, he goes off to look for Riku.
Since Sora thinks that Kairi's safe on the islands, he doesn't worry that much.
However, his friend is in the WORLD OF DARKNESS.
Once Kairi's kidnapped, Sora goes all RAWR! on the Organization, and meets up with her in TWTNW.
He says sorry, she hugs him, he hugs back. *insert more SoKai fluff here*
Then Kairi says, "Riku! Don't go."
Sora's all "WTF?!" and then since he hasn't seen his friend for a while, he goes all mushy.
This is likely to happen in real life; if one of my friends were trapped in the freaking world of darkness, I'd cry when I saw them again, regardless of gender.

BAM!
And that's why SoKai is real. ^^
And yes, I am aware that I have too much time on my hands.

Hey!those were tears of joy....
I'm talking about that scene near the ending credits when Sora was walking Riku to the water.It looked like Sora was reaching for Riku's Butt.
