That's only what some people believe. You know many people thought we were going to die in 2000.

I don't even need to click the link to tell you that is because of the Aztec calendar. aztec's weren't connected to god or aliens or any sort of being that could end us all. It's the exact equivalent to if we made a calendar today that ended with December 31st, 2009. The only difference is that they did not think they would be around that long so they did not continue the calendar and knew it could be continued later.
