Rhixan's stomach rumbled again, louder. She went red.
Effie smiled. "Don't worry! Dinner is being prepared!"

 

Phenox smiled. "I'm getting hungry too."

Rhixan frowned. She didn't want to open up to anyone else. It would make killing easier.

 

Neal sat next to Rhixan. He smiled at Phenox. "Hey."

Phenox grunted and stared out the window.

 

Rhixan looked at Neal. "Having to kill you will be hard. We're friends already."

 

Neal smiled. He whispered in Rhixan's ear. "Let's work together until we're the last ones standing."

Saki looked was sitting on one of the chairs, anxious to start.

 

Rio was sat in a corner alone, she couldn't believe she'd been chosen. How would her family survive, since she was sure to die with the looks of some of these tributes. She sighed, she wished that she had a family like that lucky boy in district 12. She was easily one of the youngest there. She watched the girl from district 12, wondering why she volenteered knowing that it was a death sentance.

Crash looked around at the other tributes, he was one of the largest and muscular ones but he didn't trust some of the tributes from the higher districts. They probably had some trick up their sleeves. He looked at the other tribute from district 11. She was so tiny! She looked way to young to be in the games, it must have been her first reaping at least. She must have been so unlucky. She looked so sweet, so innocent, so vunerable, so easy to kill. She wouldn't last a day. He just wished he wasn't the one who had to do it. Looking at her face, he realised he recognised her, she went to his school! Secretly, he wished her luck although he would never admit it.
