The Hunger Games

The woman looked around at everyone. "My name is Effie. Nice to meet you all." She said.
Rhixan frowned. "My name is Rhixan. Can we gut you now?"

 

Phenox chuckled a little. "Outspoken, aren't you?"

 

Neal held back a laugh. "Nice."

 

"Hmph. I didn't ask to be put in these games. Its either me or no one else from my family." Rhixan said.
Effie sighed. "Please calm down you two."

 

Phenox shrugged. "Eh, i'm satisfied."

 

Effie smiled again. "We'll let your loved ones in soon. Does anyone need to know the rules of The Hunger Games at all?"

 

Phenox shrugged and raised his hand.

 

Effie looked at Phenox, happy to explain. "The rules are simple. You are stuck in the arena for as long as it takes for everyone exvept one person to die. Its a kill or be killed enviroment so you have to fight to survive. Weapons, supplies and food will be around too."
Rhixan rolled her eyes. As long as theres an bow and arrow, i'll be happy.

 

Phenox nodded. "I see.... sounds fun. Thanks for explaining."

 

Rhixan stared at Phenox. "Fun? We have to kill eachother for people's entertainment!" She shouted.

 

Phenox glared at her. "It's called sarcasm..."

 

"Well add more to your freakin voice." Rhixan glared back at him.
Effie stood between them both. "Thats it you two! save your energy for the arena!" She scooted them both off into different rooms.

 

Phenox sat in the floor. He sighed.

 

Rhixan crossed her arms. Sitting down on a sofa, Alphonose and her mother ran in.
Alphonose ran straight to her and hugged Rhixan. "Why...? Why did you take my place...?!"

 

Ren walked into the room Phenox was in. They stared at each other.

 

Rhixan hugged back, crying. "I had too.... I couldn't stand, sitting at home, watching you be killed by brutal 18 year olds."

 

"Why?" Ren asked with a serious look.

 

Her mother sat by her and hugged Rhixan. "My baby.... My baby girl..."
Rhixan hugged them both, crying. "I'll come back.... I'll come back home..."

 

Phenox stared at him. "Like I said, you have your whole life ahead of you..."

 

Her mother brought out a pin. "Here... Wear this..." She attached it to Rhixan's shirt.
Rhixan looked at it and smiled. "A Mockingjay.... Thank you..." She kissed her mother's forehead.
