The gang of Intergalactic Ninja Vampire Space Pirates (A.k.a The I.N.V.S.P.)

I remember making this xD The latin apparently means 'To steal treasures in heaven'.

As for the plot how about we do a "regular" day aboard our ship. By this I mean we go around introducing us all as we go about our duties on board with all our usual madness then at some point we'll probably come under attack or raid a ship or planet.

Also would people be okay with a slight edit of some of the roles for the sake of the story? I mean this as we're missing some pretty key roles and at the same time, some of the roles we already have I don't know how to translate that into what you actually do on the ship.

 

Assuming you mean like how we don't have any engineers and the like, I think that would be for the best, yeah. Unless we have some nameless "generic" crew members, and we're just the named higher-ranking ones.

 

I think editing the roles is a good idea. There's something kinda cool about a skeleton crew, at least as far as stories are concerned. XD

And I like the idea of the plot just being a normal day that gets a bit exciting later. It's good for the kind of feel we're going for, I think.

 

And of course, when we get sucked into a cosmic storm or whichever, it's all hands on deck as our severely-understaffed crew is all trying to do three jobs at once. Chaos reigns. I like it. Let's do it.

 

So here's a document we can all edit, so we can all pitch in and help write the story. I'm thinking let's just have fun with it at first; maybe treat it a little like a roleplay until we feel like the adventure is completed and it's all good, and then we'll go back and edit it and turn into more of a story. What perspective should the story be told from? I'm thinking maybe making it be in Third Person Omniscient, what do you all suggest?

 

Third person omniscient is the best.

Feel free to copy paste my descriptions of you into it or to use variants of them in it.

Also are we only including the people who are contributing in it or all of the active roster? Also I was thinking for an additional role that has stuff to do, maybe a combat or weapons specialist or gunner. They would be in change of aiming and firing the weapons in an attack, but would also be good with a sword (or light saber) for when we actually visit planets.

 

I think we should mention old members if it becomes relevant (Like how we used to have a chef, but now we all probably either take turns cooking or just fend for ourselves) but for the story, it should only be active members.

As for creating a new role, feel free! Should it be another ninja-vampire-space-pirate or something along those lines, or should it be like, an alien or robot butler of sorts? XD

 

I actually meant for an additional role for someone like Glen, who doesn't actually have a actual role on the ship (well not one that involves responsibilities).

Though now I kind of do want to add some sort of OC to help run ship stuff. XD I have a few ideas in mind, I'll think on it and maybe get back to you all about it.

 

Kay, I'm totally going to add some kind of OC for storyline purposes, to maybe create some drama later in the story when idk, the OC could turn evil or accidentally malfunction if it's a robot or something, just to add another element of chaos. We'll see how it goes. XD Like some whole 'the character is trying to help but inadvertantly causes more problems and it's funny' kind of plot points. XD

So I was thinking that you'd probably be best for that role. What would you think to being a reluctantish engineer? As in you're good enough to do the job but it isn't really what you want to do most. You want to be diving on the outside of the ship into space and not just diving to fix the ship. However you care enough about the ship that you're not going to let it break and you're the only capable of doing that job on the current crew. So until until we get someone permanently in that role, you're kinda stuck with it.

What do you make to that idea? It's just a suggestion as we do probably need someone in that role as I imagine we're going to end up getting shot at a bit.


In hindsight I think an engineer would fit me far better than my current roles (doctor & pilot) but I've been had those roles for the entirety of this thread and it seems a bit late to switch now.

 

That does make sense actually. If I'm the "diver" then I probably am the one with the most experience with space walks. So sure, I'm pretty happy for fiction-me to have that role.

That's great! Would you be doing it kinda reluctantly (you care about the crew but it's still a pain) or would you be more keen on your job? Also at some point if you could go into the document and help with your description at the bottom, that would be really helpful. That's describing your appearance and what you normally wear and other key features people may notice about you.

I'd say if you want to change, feel free to? I've changed just recently after all, so it isn't as though our roles are sacred. Perhaps you're a doctor of engineering and us simple pirating sorts just decided "Doctor means medicine" and assigned you to the med center.
We probably just figured if you can put a ship back together you can do the same for a person.

 

I know but this is for INVSP and that's what I've been since the start so I don't really want to change now. These don't have to be completely accurate to how we are irl, it matters more how we are on this thread.

That's fine too, it was more just an assurance that you can, not that you should.

 

I have a role, the plot just hasn't revealed it yet! It's going to be like an epic anime moment where we're all "oh no i'm doomed" and then in a deep, masculine voice I just boom "NOT AS LONG AS I'M AROUND OR MY NAME ISN'T CAPTAIN WOBBLES OF THE THIRD REICH" and when it's pointed out that that's not my name, I just look sad and settle for my actual one before saving the day.
