The Game

She shook her head, then looked away, smiling. "No, I'm sorry. I don't have anything with me." she murmured, thinking.

 

"I could..." Nox stoped himself. I need to think before speeking. He layed down on the rock again. Still didn't feel good.

 

She looked up. "You could what? You might as well finish the sentence." she murmured, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. He seemed to have the ability to make her smile, which was more then she coudl say for others.

 

"I guess I could lay on your lap. But I didn't think you'd like the idea," Nox said shruging.

 

She looked up at him, tilting her head. "You're a blunt kind of guy, aren't you?" she asked finally, pushing her hair back from her face. "I don't know about that, since I just met you and all."

 

Nox smiled. His head throbed again, 'ahh.'
He groaned again, 'thats why I didn't want to say it.'

 

She couldn't help but smile. "True. If your head hurts that bad, try lying flat on your back." she shrugged, feeling slightly self conscious. After all, she wasn't trained in this sort of thing.

 

I don't thin it will help,' Nox said he tried to rest again. Evenchualy he turned on his back.

 

She shrugged. "Helps me. Then again, we are very different. We'll see how desparate you get." she murmured, rolling onto her stomach.

 

'Doesn't look like we'll be covering any ground today,' Nox sighed, 'sorry about this Aly.'

 

She shrugged. "It's fine. What happens happens. You just have to get over it." She grinned wickedly. "Don't worry, I won't leave you behind. Not just yet, anyway."

 

"Yet," Nox asked, "I don't realy like the sound of that."

 

She smiled. "Every girl for herself, right? I won't mourn your dead body, but I will stay with you until then." she shrugged. "I'm not one for sentimentality."

 

"Oh now thats just mean Aly. You wouldn't even take the time to bury me," Nox asked.

BIC: Aly smiled, then shrugged. "People don't after war, either. They go on to the next battle, and burn them all." Her smile turned bitter. "It's the way of things."

 

Nox gave her a smile, "Aly queen of morbid observations. Well I would take the time to bury you if that makes you feel any better."

 

She gave him a lopsided grin. "I'm not sure. I'm claustrophobic so...you might want to make sure I was really dead. But thank you. I guess it does make me feel better." she decided.

 

"This is a very strange conversation isn't it," Nox asked Aly.

 

Aly laughed. "Yes, it is, isn't it?" she said with a smile, her eyes glittering. "I don't know if I agree with any other conversation more then this one though."

 

"So Aly when we get to Area 3 are you going to come with me to Drakra," Nox said looking up at Aly, "or do you plan to stay here?"
