Xemnas laughed at the girl's question. "how can i?" he chuckled. "do you think i feel guilty for slaughtering these men?" he kicked a dead man's body across the room. "if so, you'd be wrong."

 

Rhian stood up. Her ears twitching back and forth. "I'm glad I ran away now. But i'm still being drawn back to all of these events that you and Ansem made!"

Ryoga sprang to his feet. "Let her go!" He ran at Xemnas.

 

Xemnas shot a laser at the boy. "punk..." he muttered. he turned back to the girl. "a runaway eh? Ansem would be happy to see you." he laughed. "so he can put you back to work."

Xemnas opened a portal. "number VIII! number IX! come... we're leaving." he dragged the girl through the portal, smirking at the boy as it closed.
Phenox attempted to make it through the portal, but missed.

Ryoga's ears move back and forth while he took out a necklace from under his shirt. "She made this for me. But i really don't know what these symbols are for." He tried taking it off but it wouldn't.

 

Phenox knelt down next to Veronica's body and layed his head on her chest, crying.
