The Demon's Crystals

"Its not you, who I'm afraid is going to hurt anyone. I can sense deep down you're not so bad... But I don't want to make a mistake of killing someone. Leave the streets, and stay away from me," she growled even more.

 

Kuro blocked the incoming attack. "A scythe, huh? Interesting looking. But y'know, most guys that use scythes...they're kinda fluffy. You're not one of those, are you?"

Shiro looked over at his sister. She was getting overconfident. He turned back to the girl.
He spoke, "She's right. Leave. A city is no place for a battle, no matter how much we dislike each other. We'll finish this later."
Raising his naginata, he continued, "Unless you'd like to die."

 

"No...Not really."

She sighed. "I can't leave."

 

"Than don't leave.. Just stay away from me," she said. She turned and walked away slowly. Her demon inside her kept taking over. She had to get to the forest quickly.

 

Kuro grinned. "Good, good. That means a good fight. Shall we skip the introductions, or would you like to know names before we continue?"

Shiro dropped his weapon's point slightly as the girl left. "You can't leave? And why is this?"

 

She smiled. "I have no need to fight you anyway...Not at the moment at least." She said and turned to face Ty's oppent but didn't dare interfe

"What difference will it make if I knew your name?"

 

Jordyn stopped walking and then ran as fast as she could away from the site and towards teh forest. There she felt safer from the city.

 

"No need...? Very well. I warn you though, go near my sister's fight, and I will have to prevent you from doing so," Shirokiba said.

"Difference? Wouldn't you want to know who you're fighting against? Or do you demons have no sense of honor and kill without knowing who you've taken down, especially with a one on one duel?"
"This place is almost too different from home..." Kuro thought.

 

"Why should I have honor when no one ever even bothered to ask for my name before they tried to slaughter me?" He asked getting ready to attack now

 

Jordyn could still feel the anger of the demon, she wanted to go back, but wouldn't in her state.
"Damn demons think they know everything," Jordyn said. She trying to calm herself down before she finally turned.

 

"Slaughtered you? And that's why you have no honor?" Kuro's blood began to run hot. A growl came forth, and she continued, "My brother and I were orphaned a long time ago. Demons killed our parents. We had to flee our home country, lest we be killed like them, and when we traveled, we were in constant danger of being killed. We came close a few times, too. Yet we fight with honor. What's your excuse?"

 

"Should I feel sorry for you? My story is of none of your conercn either way."

 

"I wouldn't want pity from a demon. And I hate you anyway!" Kuro launched another attack, with one blade aimed at the demon's leg and the other at his arm.

 

"Hate is such a strong word." He said moving to the side. He now had the upperhand seeing how calm he remained. He then attacked by moving his weapon down at Kuro with great speed as he stood to the side.

 

Kuro growled in pain as the weapon connected with her arm, leaving a large gash. Even though blood was now running down her arm, Kurokiba was not about to cede to this demon.
Standing up from her crouch, she said, "I must admit, that was a good hit. Kasai Dageki (Fire Strike)!"
She instantly launched into another attack, this time with the blades crossed in front of her.

 

The blades cut across his chest "I was so not in the mood for this."

 

"Not in the mood for a fight? Hah! That kind of thinking will get you killed." Kuro felt her demon blood roar, and she let herself turn more demonic. Black stripes, looking like fangs, appeared on her face below her eyes. Her eyes turned blood red, and her fangs and claws grew longer and sharper.
"Then again...I could take care of the 'killing you' part," Kurokiba growled as she sheathed her katanas and sprang at the demon with her claws raised.

 

"I was just in a big fight..." He said sounding disappointed and moved out of the way of the atatck

 

"Haha...you think I'd care what you just were doing?" Kuro lept and missed again. Reason was starting to fade from her mind. Her only concern was seeing the demon before her dead, and then maybe the other one too...
As she prepared to attack again, Shirokiba saw his sister's transformation.
"KUROKIBA! STOP!"
His shout fell on deaf ears.

 

"Hmm...Intersting."
