The Demon's Crystals

Kuro sniffed. "She's on the move. Again."
After a brief moment of contemplation, Kurokiba used all of her strength to sprint to Jordyn, not noticing Shiro's shout. Seeing her, she leaped in the air, flipped around, and landed facing Jordyn.
"Why do you keep running from me whenever I seem to get near you?"
A thought struck her. She said in a quieter voice, "It's because I failed to protect you, isn't it?"


In the meantime, Shirokiba had been left behind. His sister was fast; he'd give her that. Scenting the surrounding air, he identified Frank's scent and looked up. "Did you do something to her? Or is she just acting...strange?"

 

"All I did is bring her here and tell her she should rest." he said. "Next thing I know, she runs off."

 

Jordyn took a deep breath and saw Kuro..
"I just... don't belong here!" she shouted. She looked around and took a deep breath...
"He's like me. I think, he can help me," she said.

 

Shirokiba sighed. "Should we follow them, then?"


Kuro's gaze instantly hardened. She growled out, "You don't belong here...? Do you really think you have the right to say that? You've lived your life in the same country, have you not? I haven't."
She gestured to the necklace. She continued, "There's more of us out here than you think. I'm hardly in control of my demon. Why else would I wear this?"
Half sighing, half growling, Kuro said, "But if you're so insistant on meeting this guy...I'm coming to. That man drew a sword on you, and I'm not letting you walk into something like that. Call it overprotective, but hell, I'm half wolf demon. I'm naturally protective of my friends."

 

"Yes we should. I'm worried about Jordyn." he said. He went downstairs and outside.

 

Jordyn shook her head and she clenched her hands together.
"No.. This is something, I'm doing alone," She said. She pushed past her and ran down the street.

Edmondus heard her before he saw her. As he rounded another corner, the girl turned and he grabbed her by the arms, to keep them from running into each other. As he realized who the girl was, he grew shocked. He had though that he would never see her again.

"So we meet again," he said, his voice cracked from not being used in so long.

 

Jordyn felt herself grabbed. She looked closely at the person who had grabbed her arms. Her heart sank and shuddered. She took a deep breath. She tried to push him off.
"Let go!" she shouted. she got a little frightened. She felt as though she couldn't get out of his clutches. She felt tears form in her eyes. He helped her though, earlier... But, she was just frightened on the grab. She let out a bold scream.
"Please! Get off! Someone help!" she shouted.

 

Frank heard her shout and said to Shirokiba "I'm going on ahead!" He ran to where Jordyn was and saw some guy holding on to her. "Let her go!" he said, drawing his sword.

 

Jordyn shook herself off and fell back. She stood up and ran back where Frank was. She didn't know why, but.. he made her feel safe.

 

"Come on." he said. "Lets head back."

 

She shook her head.
"I can't.. I have to find him," she said.

 

"Who?" he asked. "Who do you have to find?"

 

"That boy.... He pulsated his aura to me... It felt... Like mine.. I need to find him," she said. She tried hard to think of his name.
"Jecht.. I think," she said.

 

"I'll come with you. I don't want that demon inside you coming out again." he said.

 

She shook her head.
"No... I need to do this alone," she said softly.

 

"But what if your demon comes out again?" he asked.

 

Kuro stood and watched. "You aren't alone. We - me, Shiro, and Frank - are all here for you."

Shirokiba said, "If you don't want us coming with you, we'll at least watch from a close distance. Just in case he tries something."
Kuro growled. "And if he does...heh...he'll taste my katana's steel."
"Easy, Kuro. We don't know what he's after yet. Do you, Jordyn, even know?"

 

Ed felt an anger rising up in him.

Why am I always the bad guy!!!!Damn it I'm leaving!!!!

His wings shot out, once again, ripping his shirt to shreds. He took off and kept flying. He would fly until he fell from the sky, and then he would die.

 

Jordyn watched the boy fly upwards. Her eyes shined.. Then she felt horrible.. She could feel his anger. Thinking quickly, she looked around and at Frank.
"Excuse me," she said softly. She jumped up on the ladder of the fire escape and started climbing up the building. She got to the top and started running up high on the buildings. She launched herself to Tackle the boy onto a platform the buildings. She landed on him. She held him down with her body weight.
"Wait... Why did you grab me?" she asked.
