The Demon's Crystals

Edmondus was alone, completely so. The wind whipped around the church steeple and his bare chest was a bluish color. He extended his wings, wrapping them around himself. The down gave him protection and the stiff contours gave him balance. He stared blankly out at the sky.

What am I?Not a human....not a demon......not even a mix......doomed to wander the line between civilization and the abyss.

He shook himself and regained control of his thoughts.

To make matters worse, none of my 'kind' are left. I haven't met one damn person who looks remotely like me.

Ed truly believed that and he rubbed the back of his neck, where the strange golden feathers grew into his skin, uncomfortably. Because of this believe he was unnerved at the sight of a human rising into the sky. Eagerly, he jumped off the steeple and flew out over the city once more.

Considering that I have the social skills of a tree, I had better not let him see me.

 

jecht sensed someone following him he decided to ignore him for the time being...........that was if he could keep up
he shot off acellerating to a very fast speed

 

Jordyn felt herself lifted up. She smiled slightly at how someone would help her. She could barely hear them, but she knew who they were. She knew what they were saying. She just wanted to get help. To get some rest. But before she did, she could hear the boy behind them...
"Wait....," she said to the two helping her. She smiled slightly and turned her head.
"Whoa re you?" she asked softly.

Ed shot forward, letting out his speed as his wings pumped faster and faster.

 

jecht could tell the guy was following him and dived into a forest landing he used his aura to hide himself
"lets see who the heck this guy is"

 

Ed felt the other pull into a dive and suddenly his aura disappeared. The forest was tall but wide and Ed could see him, but he didn't follow.If the man had hidden his aura it meant he didn't want to be followed. He understood this but was a little hurt and continued on, not slowing down. There was a lake beside the forest and as he got over it, he retracted his wings, letting him fall into the water. He hit the water hard and sunk fast, but Ed didn't care. There was no reason to care. All of the reasons had died with his memory. People were all the same. They assumed. They assumed that you were no good because you didn't look like everyone else did. Because you weren't normal. What was normal anyway? If everyone was even slightly different then there was no such thing as normal. Edmondus asked himself these questions as he floated down into the dark water.

 

jecht saw him he shot toward him drawing his swords he stopped right behind him swords crossed in front of his neck
"who are you why are you following me?"

 

Kuro looked like she was about to gut someone when Jordyn's question got no response and the other hanyou took off.
"Hey Shiro...did you sense those demonic auras too?"
Shiro was looking out in the direction of the forest, eyes closed. He heard his sister's question, but didn't answer. She knew it anyway.
"Should we go pay them a visit?"
Shirokiba shook his head and said, "No. Jordyn's wounds need looking after. C'mon."
They took the injured Jordyn back to their apartment.

"Wounds? What wounds? It's just a scratch," she chuckled, in a way that seemed spine chilling.. It was for her though. But really... Just a scratch? Jordyn looked down at the blood still seeping from the wound and she still laughed. The demon got what it wanted. The smell and feel of blood. It made her stomach just turn and ache from the smell and sight of it. She watched as they brought her in the apartment. She chuckled.
"Wow, you guys take this wound seriously," she said. She didn't seem like herself. She seemed more adventurous now. She seemed to just have an easy side that really doesn't matter anymore. She felt the sharp pain of the wound in her stomach and she just laughed every time she felt pain. Was she happy to feel the pain? Maybe it was that the demon loved pain. To see it and cause it. Now maybe it had an effect on Jordyn too. But what was the effect? The effect to just feel pain. Deep down, she wanted to cry, at every throb in her stomach.. But every time the pain came. She laughed. Thinking it was some sick joke. She growled again. Feeling another pressure come in her stomach again.

 

Shiro sighed. He said, "Jordyn. You're rambling. And trying to put off what you feel."
"Heh, nice try. That's a little big for a 'scratch'. And even I know how dangerous an open wound is. Infection's a nasty thing," Kuro added.

The two helped Jordyn up to the apartment and put her on the couch. Shirokiba then turned to get medical supplies. He said, "If you so much as move, I'll give you a herb that'll knock you out for days."
"I could do that."
"Shut up, Kuro."
Kuro made a face at her brother's retreating back.

"What the hell have we gotten ourselves into?" Kuro thought as she watched Jordyn.

 

Jordyn laughed. More than what she should have. It hurt so bad that she even started to cry but yet the laugh seemed even more like a cackle. Her eyes were red now.
"Just try," she said, her voice even deeper and echo. Her eyes went back blue and she let out a sigh. She rose up and shook her head.
"No.. Don't heal me," She said. She tried standing up, taking on the threat that the siblings had said. She didn't care. It might actually be good to be out for days. Her mind closed off from all that is happening.

 

Kurokiba thought of some pretty colorful words in the moment she saw Jordyn's eyes turn.
"Shiro! SUTRAS! NOW!"
"Are you kidding?!"
"'YOU HONESTLY THINK I'D BE KIDDING ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THIS!?" Kuro roared to her brother, who was several rooms down.

Hearing Jordyn's "Don't heal me", Kuro shot her a look of annoyance.
She growled at her, then said, "Listen. If you don't get bandaged up, you'll bleed to death." Kuro looked up to meet her brother's gaze.
Shirokiba kneeled down next to the couch and Jordyn. He said, "I advise you don't struggle while I cast these sutras. If you do, you might get purified more than intended to, and that will result in some problems."
Kuro looked at her brother. "Which ones did you-"
"They're the ones that are meant to restrain demonic blood. It'll keep your demon at bay for a while. At least until your injury is closed."
Shiro placed a sutra on each of Jordyn's arms, and then instructed Kuro to bandage the injury. She did so, and sat back, leaving both siblings to think.

 

Edmondus was washed up on the shore of the lake. He lay still, barely breathing. Even though he had just been in a lake, he was in a cold sweat. His hands clenched and unclenched as he had visions. His visions were of only what he could guess was, the past.

People were running and screaming. The acrid stench of fire and blood rose all around him, engulfing him. A small boy was running toward him, fear in his eyes. Tears were streaming down his little face, twin streams clearing dirt from his bloodstained face. A strange look came across his face and he managed a garbled cry before he fell to the ground. Ed couldn't move and the fire was coming closer and closer.

Edmondus tensed up on the shore, eyes still shut, still unconscious.

 

Hearing them talk to her, she let out a sinister chuckle. It wasn't only her blood that attracted the demon. She could feel them put the sutra's on her arms. Her eyes turned again, the demon inside her angry. She watched them sit back, and her eyes grew even more dark.
"You think..it's my blood?" she cackled. She watched them closely.
"You're wrong," she said in a hiss. She sat up and tore the sutra's off, throwing them at the ground. She got in a defensive position to fight. The movement made her want to scream out, for the pain in her stomach. It had still hurt. She was ready to attack. And nothing would stop her now.

 

OOC: Sorry it's been so long since I posted, there was a virus on the computers. But good news! I got my laptop back for now!

BIC: Frank had been taking a nap through all of this and had just woken up. "What's going on!?" he asked, confused and slightly afraid.

 

Ed cried out as he woke up. His eyes were wide and he was breathing hard.

These dreams, they just keep coming. What are they? Is this my past? Was I evil?

A thousand questions rushed through his mind, and he was getting a headache. An involuntary shiver made him realize he still didn't have a shirt. He roused himself and pulled out his wings. With a powerful stroke, he was in the air, going to the shop to hopefully find a shirt that didn't rip when he let his wings loose.

 

Jordyn looked at Frank.. seeing him awake. Another person.. Just to harm.. It was already a victory in her mind. She looked at the siblings, growling softly under her breath. Her body felt power. It wasn't just her blood that could trigger something like this. It was the crystals, that she had hidden on her person. It was the only power supply to keep her going on with the demon charade.

But, he was a pure human. It wouldn't bother her a bit.. The demon inside her wouldn't care, but the Jordyn deep would. Her eyes pulsated red and her arms were still shaking from the power that she had locked up. She growled at Frank, feeling the aura take control.
"Heh... You seem simply astonishing," she said, demoniacally.

 

"What's that supposed to mean?" he asked her.

 

She chuckled, sensing the way he asked the question. She looked around and looked over at the still broken window. She laughed and walked next to it.
"I am the demon inside this girl.. Whenever i wish to take over, i do as i please. These crystals... they are the main power source of her power.. And they come to my aid anytime i wish," she said. She jumped back out the window and landed firmly on the street. With a chuckled, she saluted them and started running down the street.
