"Me? In pain? Ha! I laugh at the presence of pain!" Crescent said, trying to copy an evil laugh.

 

"I know you want to appear strong, but I can see the pain in your eyes." he said.

 

Crescent bit her lip. " I have to be strong... I don't want anyone to worry about me. Please, I'm fine.. trust me on this"

 

"Well, they're here if you need them." he said. "Just don't hurt yourself too much trying to be strong. You may not want anyone to worry, but I will."

 

" Why would anyone want to worry about me? I'm an idiot..." Crescent said as she stared at the cold floor

 

He lifted her head up and said "Because you are a very talented woman. You've got great looks and a great personality. Besides, you aren't an idiot."

 

" Great looks. I find myself average... I doubt I'm even pretty.." Crescent doubted that statement. Great looks, eh? I look no better than a horse..

 

"Well, I find you very attractive." he said.

 

Tai opened his eyes as he got up "...What happened?" He asked them not remembering the joke.

 

"Is someone messing with your brain? ..........." Crescent looked away, blushing just a bit. " I guess my mom and dad would have been proud on how 'pretty' I've become" she said with a hearty chuckle.

 

"There is nothing wrong with my brain." he said, smiling at her.

 

"I must have missed something, That's why you two forgot about me." Tai told them feeling ignored.

 

"Then it's your conscience. I can hear it calling out to you. ' You have chosen the wrong girl!' ...... Sometimes I wonder if guys like me because of my beauty or my attitude" Crescent muttered the last part to herself.

"Now why would I forget about you?!" she went over to Tai and gave him a nudge on the elbow.

 

"What do you mean, 'the wrong girl'?" he asked, confused.

 

"....What? What did I do?" He asked so utterly confused about what she was talking about or who she was talking to.

 

" Why would anyone have a crush on a girl like me out of all the other girls in this planet? I really don't know what's happening... right now I want to focus on how were going to survive this mess" Crescent said as she went to the kitchen.

 

"Oh." he said, feeling rejected. He sighed.

 

Tai sat there lost beyond compare as he looked at Hianto "What'd you do man?" He asked getting up.

 

"I told her how I felt." he said.

 

"Didn't work out bro?" He asked "Look. Females are picky, excatly what makes them different from us. They have problems, We have less." He actually spoke out loud forgetting that someone would kill him for that comment.
