The Giver. Good book very interesting. I've read it for so many assignments already though.

I liked "To Kill a Mockingbird", Romeo and Juliet", and "The Outsiders".
And I had to watch the movies of them as an assignment too.

Fever 1893 or something like that. It was by Laurie Halse Anderson. She is one of my favorite authors. =D

i want to say Frankenstein.... but I'm not sure... I think I'd have enjoyed the book better if it wasn't an assignment... but it was good overall.

EDIT: OH WAIT!! I remember! "A MODEST PROPOSAL". That book was AWESOME

The Catcher in the Rye. I love it. The writing, the little side-stories, the characters, it's all great!

Most of the books I read as an assignment turn out as my favorite books. XD The Outsiders, Bridge to Terabithia, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, and Where the Red Fern Grows.

I didn't care much for The Pearl because our teacher rushed us through the book.

Great Expectations, Of Mice & Men and A Christmas Carol are all school assignment books that are on my list of favorites. If only they were other people's favorites as well at school...

My favorite would probably be The Odyssey.

I love it so much. Its quite old but I still like how it deals with the Gods/mythology.

I think it was Antigone that turned my head in an assignment.
The Odyssey is pretty awesome too. Homer - (not the simpsons Homer, the Greek bard Homer) Illustrated this in such a way... I just love greek mythology lol!
