They're not being advertised as if they're new, they're being advertised as if they're good. Which they are.

Well your concluding statement is something that the two of us can agree on. I was exaggerating when I said that, obviously, but I have a question for you: why can't a band that made such an impact on music and Western culture from then on be advertised and celebrated? Hell, forget that they were so effective in changing music and people in general, why can't they be celebrated simply because they still have millions of fans? Companies will appeal to the masses, and a lot of people have wanted Beatles songs in a rhythm game for quite some time now.

Sure, The Beatles are good, but they're not my kinda taste. :v
Who cares if they're old. Some of the best music comes from bands atleast 10 to 20 years old.

I know, but I Was saying that like, bands from the 80's are still good. I don't think age can affect music anyway xD

Added: That 80's thing didn't really make sense D:

xD I agree, the 60's, 70's and 80's were the best musical decades in my opinion, at least in the sense that they had a larger number or memorable artists.

Well since all of the rock artists on the radio are either angsty emo kids or annoying pop artists, and all the rap artists on the radio are "featuring" each other in every song the produce to the point that everyone has performed with everyone, making every song sound similar, yea, modern mainstream music is awful. :'D

    1x agree

Today's general youth have some pretty bad taste for some reason. Most popular music these days consists of repetitive instrumentals, bland and shallow lyrics, and pretty much the same subject matter everytime (lol sex drugs partying my life is so hard but i'm rich). In other words,

There's no soul in popular music these days.
