You finish watching/reading a show/movie/book and you know that it won't have any sort of sequel whatsoever and that's all over and you will never see those characters again.

    Feels bad man.

I hate this feeling in my pants...

Kind of like when I read Toys by James Patterson.

You must've not read the fourth book then.

Anyways, I feel this way about a lot of things. The movie Treasure Planet for instance. Loved that movie and I'm sad to see it stuck in the forgotten Disney abyss.

As long as the ending has a decent closure to the story and characters, I don't mind that much.
I mean sure, I'll be sad. But I'd rather not see them become cash cows.

You'd prefer Disney milking the series like they did with so many other movies? They ruined a lot of franchises with sequels.
Treasure Planet had a great ending. Just let it be.
There's a difference between forgotten and the story is goddamn over >_>

Not the best feeling, but you need that closure. Otherwise it just doesn't feel right. Besides, there will be another story.

Writers are lucky, if we like a story we can rip it off :L

    Novels, anyone?

I really wish Shakespeare would have written a sequel to Romeo & Juliet[!]

I know that feeling so well.

It was based on a book that never got a sequel as well. You think they should have continued it? I suppose they could have, but it would have been a tall order.

Quite. Sequels should be written before they check the profits of the last one or not at all in nearly all cases.

Always a good idea, but it is not the same.

Baccano! is a perfect example of both.

The series was perfect, and the novels contain more. Read them. I wish they were all translated.

Bad idea. I still do not understand why that play was his most famous.

    The Maze Runner trilogy, anyone?

I could name so many series that I miss dearly, but all good things must come to an end eventually.
