Of the next game I shall play. I want to emulate the Chrono Trigger DS ****, but man I've got a hankering to play me some FF8 because it's one of the only games in the series I haven't played. I'd have to emulate that too since it's nearly impossible to get the game in this day and age(Hence the reason I've never played it). Give me opinions.
PS emulation can fellate my balls. You have to keep tinkering with the plugins because the lag is unbearable in certain parts, and it's incredibly tedious. Or maybe it's just my computer/emulator. If you can emulate CT well, go for that I guess.
Mm, so I've heard. But would it be different for turn-based rpg's? They're rather slow games as it is, despite the pretty graphics.
I've personally played FF8 on an emulator and there's a BIG difference. Every time you get into a random encounter the frame rate drops astronomically and it takes forever for the battle to start, and I'm like "OH MY GOD WHY IS THIS SO SLOW FFFFF". I tried fiddling around with the plugins and couldn't get it any faster. >: That's about the only problem I had that I can remember and it might not seem like much, but it sure pissed the hell out of me.
Chrono Trigger DS. 2 new dungeons, Pokemon like minigames, and 16 endings plus 1 new ending for the DS version, anime cutscenes, and a new translation that's actually an improvement. Plus, the plot is compeling and gameplay has some improvements.
ePSXe 1.7 I think. And yeah, I'm guessing you might have better luck. I burnt FF8 and played it for a little while, it's been fun so far.
Don't you have a psp? Play crono trigger DS on your computer and whenever you're out or you feel like playing your psp play FF8 on the psp.
