Sweet Poison

Daine grinned, then held up a light colored bottle. "Looking for this?" She asked, watching him. If he was as obsessed as she thought he was, he would know exactly what it was.

OOC: Gore warning.

Aly growled, then bit down on her shoulder, trying to shut her up. Prey wasn't that much fun when it whined. She pressed her paw against the shoulder, then ripped, pulling some muscle out. Mmm...Growling, she turned to the girl's neck, the vital area. Already she was bleeding from cuts and bitemarks. She wouldn't last much longer.

 

Leon looked at the bottle, "Why do you have that?", he asked, "I didn't think your kind would need it", he continued. He kept his eyes on the bottle. It was what he sought after all.

 

Daine took a step backwards, still dangling the bottle. "I have it because I found it. I don't need it. Don't worry, I'll give it to you. On one condition." she took another step back. He might have been more obsessed then she had originally thought.

 

Leon stood where he was watching the bottle, "What is this request? I don't want to end up a nymph's toy", he said. He had enough honour to remain sane around the honey.

 

She rolled her eyes. "If you remember correctly, it was the other way around. My request is that you go back home. Away from here. If you do, I swear I will leave this at your home."

 

Leon took a step forward, "You should just hand it over and let me go on, this won't last me a week", he said. He stepped closer again to try to have her give him the bottle.

 

At first, Annaly just laid there, frozen in shock from the loss of blood. It was only when the burning pain started to kick in and when the wolf was aiming for her throat that she snapped out of her daze. Her survival instincts kicked in. She ignored the massive pain in her shoulder as much as she could and used the last of her strength to try and push the wolf off of her.

 

"And I've told you, I can't. You could say I have an obligation." She took another step back, keeping a fair distance between them. "So how about it, human?"

Aly yelped in surprised and rolled over, her teeth dripping with the girl's blood. She growled,, then cirlced the girl. Finding an opening, she leaped in for one last attack, hoping to end this now.

 

"Get away from me!" Annaly screamed in a whimpering voice. She made a run for it, her arm clenched on her shoulder, trying to stop the blood from pouring all over the place. It didn't work that well, the blood just ran over her hand and down her arm.

 

Daine turned, then shoved the human back, just in time to get hit with a wolf. The wolf from earlier, if she wasn't mistaken. Seeing the situation, she stepped in front of the girl, her eyes narrowed. "Step back, wolf. This is mine." she invoked the truce words they were to use.

Aly growled, then bowed her head, shifting forms slightly, then backing into the underbrush, her golden eyes the last thing they saw. She would go check on the witch and werewolf. Her kind were not to be captured.

Daine turned to the girl. "Are you alright?" she asked, hesitantly stepping towards the second human she had seen that day. It was turning into an interesting week.

 

Annaly didn't say anything, she couldn't say anything. Her body was going into shock from the loss of blood, her legs started shaking. Then she collapsed to the floor, her legs too weak to support her own weight. All she could do now was twitch and stare at the nymph.

 

Daine knelt next to the girl, her eyebrows furrowed. "Damn.." she swore, moving her hands in the air over the girl. "Not another one...." she gently placed the bottle of honey back inside her shirt pocket and reached deep inside herself, to see if she could save the girl. She didn't have enough...tears came into her eyes. "I'm so sorry...."

 

"I..." Annaly started, dry sobs began to erupt from her mouth, they were only quiet ones. "I don't want to die." Tears began to well up in her eyes as well. It was true, she didn't want to die, not here, not now and definitely not in this way.

 

Daine shook her head. "You won't die, girl. You're going to change. You're going to be a werewolf now."she smiled slightly. "At leasy you won't be addicted to honey anymore."

 

Annaly coughed up a handful of blood, suddenly her body started to feel like it was getting better. "I liked being human..." she murmured, "I was never really addicted to the honey... I even gave mine away to the more needy sometimes... I don't..." Her eyes started to get heavy and she started to have trouble keeping them open. She finished the sentence off in her head. I don't want to be a monster.

 

Daine shook her head. "No one is a monster." she closed the girl's eyes. "Sleep now." she whispered, putting some magic into her words. It wasn't much, but it would help her in the end.

 

"Quit lying and be straight with me. We are both busy and in a rush. Shrouds and veils don't help with that."

This kid was taking far too long. It was like he was clueless while trying to act smart.

 

Annaly's breathing started to slow down and steady itself, so did her heart rate. As one last movement, she put her hand on the Nymph's, keeping it on her face as she drifted into an unconscious state.

 

Daine instinctively jerked away, but replaced her hand. She felt terrible...another life ruined. Did the werewolves mean to do it? If so they had a lot to answer for. The one she had just seen only looked like it was trying to finish the job...she sighed, thinking.

Aly growled, watching the circle, and the witch. She wanted to free her brethren, but the witch had unknown powers, and she had promised not to hurt him. She battled between those two sides, watching all the while.

 

As she slept, her body started to slowly change... her hair anyway. It went from its honey chocolate brown colour to a much darker brown, almost black, colour. Her body was in an unconscious state but her mind wasn't, it was quiet aware of the changes.
