Sweet Poison

Daine tried to get back up, but her arm was broken. She grimaced, leaning against the tree. Gods.....just let it be quick. she silently prayed, trying again to push herself up.

 

He reached for her neck. With force, he dragged the nymph up the course bark of the tree she landed into.

"What are you? how dare you!"

 

Choking, she clawed with her good arm at the hand that held her. "I just want to live." she whispered, dark eyes bright with tears.

 

"That isn't a very good name."

Things had gone on lone enough. They had to eliminate the new threat otherwise they'd both suffer.

"Now tell me a better one"

 

She gasped for air, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Veralidaine." she whispered. "My name is Veralidaine." The world started spinning around her.

 

The monster loosened his grip around the girl's neck.

"veralildaine, nice name, but it is too long. I'll call you ver for the time being."
Time was short. Like a kid with a toy, the creature lifted daine upon his shoulders and wraps her arms around his jaw.

"lets find the werewolf."

Keeping the girl on his back, the monster slowly slid out of the water onto land and proceeded to run in the direction of the scent.

 

Diane whimpered as her broken arm jarred with every movement, but bite her lower lip, keeping quiet. She wouldn't hurt the werewolf, no matter what he did to her. She wouldn't.

Aly looked up, her hackles raised. Somethign else was coming. That acid scent filled her nose, making her sneeze. She didn't like this at all.

 

The smell shifted. there was more fear in it now. Maybe he was getting closer.

"Do you smell that ver?"
he stopped to think about what he just said. He talked with food to verify his own senses, his food!
what was going on here?

 

She nodded, her eyes large. "Can you please let me go?" she asked, biting down on her lip to keep from crying in pain. Suddenly a salt and iron taste ran through her mouth; she had bitten through her lip.

Aly backed away, snarling. There was the sweeter scent, one she almost never had smelled before. A nymph? what the hell was going on?

 

There it was!

running through a dense ticket, the beast landed on his target. A young werewolf, a female infact. Strange, he did smell anything feminine on her. Powered by the male's momentum they tumbled across the forest floor. In the confusion, the nymph was set free.

 

Daine landed in some sort of bush, then lay still, taking deep breaths. Something else had cracked, but she thougth she could move. Maybe.

Aly yelped,then rolled, snapping at whatever she could, a wolf's instinct. Her nose burned, and her eyes watered. This was a demon. This was scary. She snapped down, hoping to connect with an arm or something.

 

Taking the bite, the monster stopped rolling and sniffed what he landed into and began to sniff quickly.

"didn't know I'd find another like me. and you're fierce. facinating."

 

Aly growled, her eyes golden. Get off me, now. she shoved at him, yelping as a twig stuck into her back. Off. Now. She wouldn't ask again.

 

OC: what happened

 

The creature backed away.

"sorry didn't know I'd find another me is all. In the light of the forest, the beas could be seen clearly for the first time. He looked human in appearance, a naked one anyways. His glowing yellow eyes hidden by his mane of lavender hair.

 

OOC: Aly was tackled by Legion, another werewolf apparently, and Daine is lying in a bush close to you.

BIC: Aly shook her head, then smelled the air again, confused. He did smell like her....she hesitantly opened her mind to speak with him, not quite comfortable with changing back in front of two guys and what appeared to be a nymph.

 

Staring at the girl, the he-wolf began to ponder. who was she? This entire circumstance was strange in his opinion. For him, the only creatures he'd met were food, not what she was. While in the middle of his thoughts, he felt something. It was as if someone was rubbing their hands over his mind. Startled, he shrank away, but as he became acustomed to it he relaxed and reached out with his own.

"Who is this? What is your name?"

 

Nox watched everything. And still wasn't sure what to do. But the other werewolf was standing in his salt circle. Nox activated his salt circle and traped the other werewolf.

 

Aly winced as the defenses stung at her mind, but fought them down. She needed to figure this out. "Alianne. I'm right next to you. Don't let him get anything from you. The witch."

 

"A witch?"
The werewolf was confused. He had never heard of such a thing. His confusion reverberated through his thoughts and into Aly's
