Sweet Poison

Daine calmed herself, then slowly vanished into the background of the water. She held her breath, praying it was enough to keep that creature from finding her. He looked like he could snap her neck if he even got his hands on her.

 

Looking about, the beast looked around, trying to find his lunch. Where she go? Sadly, he wasn't the brightest thing in the world. Maybe it will appear again soon.

 

She held her breath in, as he passed barely a few centimeters away. Would he smell her? She didn't think so, how could one smell underwater?

 

He splashed at he water's surface, trying to find his prey.
"Where are you?" he roared.
"I'm hungry. Come and be released from the vice of life."

 

She shivered, the water around her creating little ripples. Slowly she began to swim backwards, trying not to make any noise. If he found her, she would still fight, but it would be all over.

 

Mortalitas quietly walked into the forest. Around him, he heard animals making there usual sounds. In joy, or pain? On the ground, he saw a bird. Somehow, it had managed to break its wing. He gently picked it up, an continued to break its other wing. Without a look of emotion, he threw the bird in a pile of leaves and continued to walk on.

 

Aly clenched her fist, then stopped, feeling cold numbness as her nails punctured her skin, blood running down her hand. She sighed, holding it up. Still couldn't get used to her strength, after all these years. Her heart beating slowly, she leaned against the wall, closing her eyes.

 

Nox looked at the small circle of salt. He knew it would work. It always worked.

 

Wandering lost and now concerned with the thoughts of a Demon kidnapping people and devouring them with out a second thought. "That fiend, that monster, that...that GAHRRRRRRR!" he yelled as he made his way to what seemed to be a small pond for a drink and to sort all of these different confusing thoughts. "I wonder if this maybe the demon I am looking for what if this monster is my father." he mumbled to himself "its not as if he would know that..." before he could finish his thought he hear small cry of pain coming from the near by forest. Thinking that he should ready himself incase it is the monster he so prayed to kill grabbing a dagger from his bag of spoils he made his way towards the forest.

 

Aly sighed, then pulled her hair back. "Is it ready?" she asked, almost silent. Her voice no louder then a butterfly's wings, she looked around, her yellow eyes glaring into the darkness.

OOC: *shrug* I guess you'll figure it out.

 

Nox closed his eyes and checked on the Ley line. It was still there. Ley Lines had been disapiering for some reason.

 

Aly sighed, then walked out of the cave, her eyes bright. Hunting time. She licked her lips, then slowly began to form. It felt soo good, not being human.

 

Nox found the line. He was glad it was still there. He opened his eyes and sat at the base of a tree.

 

Panting, Aly raced over the landscape, going as fast as she could. It felt so good, to be free. She whipped back to the forest, sniffing. There had to be some good food somewhere.

 

Reaching into the water, the monster finally grabed the nymph

"I have you now."

 

Daine screamed so high taht it would have shattered any other person's ear drums. She struggled, raking her nails across its face.

 

Nox kept waiting quietly looking at the stary sky.

 

"ow ow ow quit it!"
the predator roared

"what's your problem?"
