Sweet Poison

"Do you have a better plan," Nox asked. He studied his circle it would block much for long but he needed to buy time.

 

Daine hesitated, biting her lip. "I could just..." she gestured. "Hold them off as long as possible, while you get away." she smiled bitterly. "My kind is used to it."

 

'What makes you think I'm going to leave you here those two,' Nox said, 'I don't need your courpe on my conchius.'

OOC: Damn, okay. Btw, its corpse, and conscience.

BIC: She shrugged. "Most people would? Besides...I'm replaceable." Her grin turned mocking. "Don't you know? After a few hours, our bodies disappear. I won't be a corpse."

 

Saro nodded at the mental command from his master. He turned around and glared at the prey in there magic shields. They were mumbling something to eachother, but the words escaped him.

Crouching down, he sprang into his charge along side his Beta.

"Three!"

 

Aly leaped at the barrier, yelping as she hit it. Bruised ribs, and probably a cut or two, she decided as she rolled away, then hit it again. But food was worth it. And the barrier seemed to be weakening every time they hit it. She drew back, then threw herself at it a third time, wincing as the magic stung her.

 

Nox's grip on the potions tightend. He was ready to throw them. The exploshon would be big but should be directed more in the were's direction.

 

Aly leaped one more time, a snarl on her wolfy face. Her eyes glowed as she hit the barrier, and she threw everything she had into it. She felt it waver, and wondered if it was enough. "Saro, go!"

 

Saro, with all his might, pounced on the nymph and bit into her arm. The taste of blood excited him, fueling his hunger even more than it was before

 

Saro was knocked back by Nox's magic. Saro landed next to Aly. He threw the red potions at the two.

 

OOC: No goddmodding, Xert, please.

BIC: Aly snarled, then dogded the potions, leaping at the witch. He was hers, now. He had threatened a member of the pack.

Daine cried out, then held her arm, stepping back. He wouldn't stop now. Nypmh blood was like a drug, while the nymph was still alive, that was.

The potions hit the ground and exploded in a large fireball thst consumed the entire hut.
Nox got ontop of Daine to shild her from the flames.

 

Aly yelped, then closed her eyes, and curling into a ball. She would kill him, if he even harmed Saro. Pack members looked after one another. That was how they worked. She whimpered as she felt several parts of her burn, but then ignored the pain.

Daine closed her eyes, curling up into a ball. She hated fire, hated hated hated it. Go away, go away, before I lose my mind.

 

The fire scorched Saro's bare flesh. Cringing, he bit down harder and flailed about. This witch wasn't an animal, it was a monster.

 

Aly crawled closer to where the nypmh and Saro was. Her eyes teared up, but she kept trying anyway. They had to live. They just had to.

Daine whimpered, grinding her teeth. She didn't know if she could get out of this one alive. She wouldn't turn werewolf, that was for sure. The venom would kill her in a matter of days.

 

Nox drew his wand he launched a spell at Saro he would think and feel like he was actualy on fire.

OC: have to powerplay a bit. I have to leave soon

Nox was able to get Saro off Daine's arm. He threw a yellow potion on the ground. He and Daine disapiered.

 

Mortalitas laughed at the merriment that seemed to be in the woods. It seemed to counter everything he had been taught of life, a stark reminder of how much of a fool his teachers were.

He never had made it as a passionate being, had he? The world is cruel, and perhaps it was being cruel now. Prooving those that thought it was cruel wrong with the peace, and thus in the end being cruel anyway.

Maybe he would have made it as one of those people who went around the world with signs such as "The End is Nigh." Maybe. Signs were just signs, was his existance a sign?

Mortalitas continued to walk on, not letting his face betray his emotions.

 

Aly growled, her eyes narrowed, then went to Saro, whimpering slightly. Was he okay? She hadn't seen much in the chaos of the moment. "Saro?" she murmured quietly in her mind, nosing him gently.

 

"AAAAAHH!!!" he roared. The spell from the witch was in full effect. It was as if hell itself had opened up on the back of his bare skin. It was unbearably painful. Wreathing about, Saro buried his back into the ground, trying to put out the imaginary fire.

 

Aly whimpered, her golden eyes wide. What had happened to him? What could she do? She growled, then grabbed him by the throat, gently, and dragged him toward the river. Maybe that would help. She prayed he would follow along as she tossed him in.
