Sweet Poison

She turned back, half surprised, then smiled. "Pleasure to meet you, Nox." she murmured, bending down and placing her fingers into the river. "Are you intent on following me home then?" she murmured, half to herself, as she stared into the river.

 

'Do you not want me to,' Nox stoped and asked, 'I'll go if you'd like.'

 

She shrugged. "To each, their own. Do as you like. I for one am not taking your free will away." Not like mine was. she sighed, keeping calm, then dipped her feet into the river. "Are you a God fearing man?"

 

Nox sat next to her. He cept his feet out of the water, 'No I don't think of myself as god fearing.'

 

This made Daine smile even more. She looked at the water, perfectly content to remain quiet. Water creatures darted about her legs, tempting her to join them. They wanted to have fun, and she sighed. Easy for them to say.

 

Nox looked at the water as it reflected the orange, "water is a strange thing isn't it."
The water reflected the ornage sky that still had stars in it.

 

She smiled. "Not strange, just misunderstood. Like a lot of things. We seem to fear and hate what we misunderstand." She traced the surface, making gently ripples. "I don't want to be like that."

 

After a few minutes of the strange display, the tentacles retracted back into the tre elder, all of Aly's injuries were mended.

"Are you alright Aly?"

 

Aly trembled, feeling cold. "Fine." she whispered past numb lips, her eyes wide. She could see perfectly, but she couldnt' see him. Odd....she slowly made her way towards the other werewolf, her face frozen. She wondered what she looked like.

 

"yeah but if a monster with a blade for a hand comes walking tords you what do you think it wants a friendly hello or to stab you in the face," Nox asked her.

 

Wrapping his arms around her, Saro held her upright. He sniffed her hair, checking for any amnormalities in her scent. She was afraid. That much was obvious. The question is, of what?

 

Daine smiled. "I would assume danger, but I wouldn't kill until it had proven its intent was to kill as well." she drifted off in thought, cupping her hands under the water, then pulling it up to reveal the sun moon reflected in it,perfectly. "Everyone is different."

She shivered, then smiled slightly, feeling her body relax. No one was taking her today. Nothing was going to happen. She repeated this until she was calm, and relaxed. She wouldn't be able to defend herself if she wasn't calm. Speaking of which, her stomach rumbled gently, reminding her.

 

"Think if the every one was the same there wouldn't be fighting," Nox asked.

 

Daine looked up. "That's what you guess, because it has never happeend before. Maybe no one will fight, maybe the fighting will be worse." She let the water fall, her eyes distant. "Whatever the cause, there will always be fighting."

 

"Yeah pretty sad and pathtic when you think about it huh," Nox said. He felt peaceful there he couldn't quiet explain it. It was odd to him but it was nice.

 

Daine smiled. "Which is why most people don't think, they just act." Her wrist healed, she sighed, then slid into the water. "I'll be only a moment." she looked back at him before diving under, and shifting.

 

Nox looked into the water. It was moveing and destroyed the immor image of the sky. Nox watched her as she swam under the water.

 

Feeling herself shift to otter form, she made her way through the mazes of weeds, nosing for the item in question. Bubbles rose and followed her, making her human side giggle. The muck rose about her, clouding her vision. She sighed, then swam up to the surface, climbing out of the water, her nose twitching.

 

Nox looked over as she came out of the water, 'so enjoy your little swim.'

 

She ruffled her fur, then shifted back, wringing out her hair. "If you think so." she smiled slightly, then sighed. "No matter how many times I do this, I never get used to wet clothes." She smiled slightly.
