Story or Gameplay?

I personally liked the gameplay, the story wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't bad or good, just okay.

I still love knocking heartless into oblivion (or is that with oblivion? i dunno) but the story is cool :D

 

Hard to choose. I like both.

It haa good gameplay, but I really enjoyed the story of it. So, thats what I voted for.

 

I totally obsess over KH because the story is genious. The game would not be the same without the magical storyline. They could have made a whole bunch of unique fighting or gameplay engines that would have been pretty good, but the storyline is the driving force to KH, at least to me.

 

I love the story so much. The only way that I'll play any game is if it has a good story line. I enjoyed the storyline way more than I did the gameplay.

 

You're all saying the story,but it's the story of the series or just KH2's?
I mean,i just don't see anything special in KH2 story-line,but in the story of the series all together is the best ever.

 

The storyline is what I love about the game.
Honestly I don't usually play games like KH.
I'm more of a Heavenly Sword, Halo, Gears of War person.
The boss fights is the only part of the gameplay I actually enjoy. ​

I'd have to say it revolves more around the story. It's like having kingdom hearts where there's no story, and you just play random levels and level up and get new items. I would have to say storyline though.

Not always. Games can be made with a great storyline, even one better then the gameplay.

Well only reason it was posted in this section was because I didn't see it anywhere else. The storyline originally is meant to include the entire thing, not just kh2.



Also, just to emphasize, make sure no flame fights break out. Not for nothen, but I originally made the thread cuz of an argument of whether kingdom hearts is an rpg or an action game, so I just thought I would emphasize that.

 

I liek the gameplay. Without that, KH would be like a movie and that's not the best it can be.

And screw beating up heartless, I prefer nobodies, those are more fun.

I liked both. The story catches your eye and keeps you playing while the gameplay is addictive and fun. I really couldn't choose between the two.

 

While I love the gameplay, the I love the storyline even more. The story is deep enough for it to feel more like a movie or an anime than just a video game.

 

I would have to say to me the storyline is what surprised me about KH the most. I also really liked the game combat system and am glad they decided to go the route they did instead of doing combat in a turn base style. It really added a lot to the game. As important as this decision was, the storyline was even more impressive as it had the Disney cute stuff...but underneath there is a very serious plot. I have to give props to Nomura that somehow he made the game capable of capturing the attention of players of any age with the story arc as it's been going.

 

I liked the storyline. Ofcorse beating up heartless and nobodys are fun, but the storyline just rules!

 

omg, i have never skipped a scene from KH2 because the storyline is a masterpiece - bit cheesey at some times but overall, pretty awesome. The battling is pretty gd to because its not extremely hard
