I'll say what's most on my mind when I see that title. It has been the subject of memes and the thought is out there already, but it's always worth saying. That is, if I see Luke Skywalker die, there will be not enough comfort in the world to console me.
So, I may have already ordered 2 tickets for the opening Thursday night. I'm really looking forward to what Rian Johnson does with this film. With what The Force Awakens left open, The Last Jedi may be a great continuation as well as open up the franchise to some great moral ambiguity and creative storytelling. I may be hyping myself a bit too much, but with the talent that's backing this movie up, there's a reason why.
I'm gonna follow Mark Hammil's advice. I'm avoiding that trailer like the plague, but why must temptation be so strong? But --- side note --- seeing Carrie Fisher on the poster, right in the center, is giving me all of the feels right now. I'm happy, but sad at the same time. I just know the whole film is going to be bittersweet for that reason alone.
