    Less one reason to me to buy a Xbox360...libregkd, can you explain how "big" the disappointment was, because i'm fan of Star ocean and if this comes to the PS3, i'm getting it :D.

    Oh and this should be moved to "Square-enix" :D

    I pretty much saw this coming, what with the horrible sales on the 360.

    And I'm on the same boat as you libre. I'd only buy it if they made some huge changes.

    Because aside from the graphics boost it falls drastically short of what a next gen star ocean game should be. Voice acting is reminiscent of the PSX days, dungeons take far too long to traverse even with the dash feature, side quests are just boring fetch quests and bottomless dungeons, far too many enemies are palette swaps, few good characters, and the ultimate moves aren't nearly as spectacular looking as I was hoping. It's unsatisfying even if you have low expectations.

    And apparently, there's a disc-change spot in the middle of a dungeon? >_> That's just plain wrong.

    But don't get me wrong, some people did like it. Some found it great. It mostly depends on the expectations you have on the game.

    disk changing was the worst part of this game, end game had you constantly swapping between disk 3 and 2 since 2 of the worlds were stored onto the third and rest were 2nd, and you'd be swapping between a 3rd disk and 2nd disk world alot in the time if you're wanting to do side quests.

    That's kinda sloppy. I myself am not a hardcore fan of star ocean, but I had the ps2 one, and if what you say is true, then tri-ace worked sloppy in this game. Hopefully they don't do this if a valkyrie profile game comes out, that would be reprehensible.

    On the other hand, I'm glad that ps3 is starting to get 360 games, all the reason to buy it. Now if they made lost odyssey for the Ps3...

    I doubt that's going to happen, but we can dream either way. >.>;

    Everyone knows RPG's should stay on Playstation's side. It is the law of video gaming....well, maybe not, but tales of vesperia is coming to PS3, so it's only natural.

    Yeah, because developers HAVE to make their games on a console with about half the sales and potential customers than the other console....

    I'm in the process of playing vesperia to death, im not caring too much for the ps3's add ons, the pirate girl looks crappy as if she was added in 3 minutes before the game was released and i dont care about the abyss costumes, since i've never played abyss due to namco sucking and not giving europe the game.

    As for star ocean yeah pallate swaps like forsaken said suck, im only missing like 5 monsters from the monster book and i swear to god theres' 12 original monsters not counting bosses.

    Someone doesn't know how to joke...

    And yeah...I myself don't have the luxury of buying both consoles, and since I can play my ps2 games(RPG draught on Ps3)on the 60gig, I'm very pleased with some RPG's coming to the Ps3.

    Star Ocean 4 should be great to have in the PS3 Library as well as Tales of Vesperia but I wouldn't buy it for the full price unless it has lots of great new updates like libregkd said.
