The main antagonist (because there's more than one) tries to kill you for an antidote and dies when you would've saved him anyway. ;-;

 

You win the battle.

Also the emperor gets poisoned, but he gets blowed up anyway :v

All your travels to catch all the beasts and be the very best lead you to becoming the master of your trade.

...This is completely different from the game I was thinking of when I read that.

 

You become a god and in the epilogue level you reign destruction on the enemy tribes and finally kill them for good.
