Soul Eater | Rise of the MagiK Acadamy

A sound Soul dwells within a sound Mind and a sound Body.
Welcome to Death Weapon Meister Acadamy...popularly known as the DWMA.
It stands as a defense against the forces of evil that threaten humanity and drive people into the depths of fear and madness. The demons known as Kishin and their insatiable hunger for death and destruction. Meister and Weapon work together to rid the world of these demons while aiding the world on it's path towards restoration.
"Basically we're an organization of justice, to keep the peace. Not really your average school, is it? Oh well, let's get ourselves right and ready, and get going!"
Among other things in the world along with the DWMA is the newly created MagiK Acadamy. An acadamy run by a General Class demon named Lilith. The MagiK Acadamy is an acadamy that teaches ordinary people with one exeptional property about them to use a special weapon and fight the Kishin along with the newer species of demon called Duras. MagiK Acadamy students use a weapon carried within a partner called a Weapon Sheath. Students enrolled in MagiK posess an abnormally large soul with a strong willpower.

Terms:
Weapon Meister: Students enrolled in the DWMA. People capable of using their soul and a Weapon to defeat and collect Kishin souls.
Weapon: Beings that have the power to transform into a weapon. They generally serve as weapons for Meisters in order to eat 99 Kishin souls and 1 Witch soul to become a Death Scythe.
DWMA: Death Weapon Meister Acadamy
Kishin: Humans who have strayed from the path of light and become evil by consuming souls for power.
MagiK Acadamy: Acadamy for the exceptionally skilled and lost.
General Class: One of the highest classes in the demon hierarchy.
Duras: Crystaline demons born from fear or hatred out of a human's heart.
Weapon Sheath: A being taught in MagiK Acadamy with exeptional soul prowess. At a young age, they are almost brainwashed to forget all emotions and independent thought. Like Weapons for Meisters, they possess the ability to either transform into a weapon or their Master may choose to separate the weapon from the Sheath, giving the Master two weapons to use. (The separated weapon and their Sheath)
Master: Owners of a Weapon Sheath and taught within the MagiK Acadamy. They hold a powerful will.

Important People:
Death: the creator and headmaster of DWMA. Literally the Grim Reaper himself.
Death the Kid: Death's son and Grim Reaper.
Liz and Patty: Twin pistols, Death the Kid's personal Death weapons.
Maka: A new teacher of the Crescent Moon class, formerly a Meister.
Soul: A newly created Death Scythe for Lord Death. Formerly Maka's partner.
Black Star: A "ninja" Meister, teaching his own version of classes.
Tsubaki: Black Star's partner; a ninja Weapon.
Lilith: Demon Headmaster of MagiK Acadamy.

Rules:
1. Follow the rules of the RP Arena
2. No God-modding, powerplaying, etc.
3. Please use quotations for speaking and no *actions*.
4. Please keep romance and cursing to PG-13.
5. Master and Weapon Sheath and Meister and Weapon are played by two different people. If your partner quits or does not post within a week without prior notice, they will be killed off or removed.
6. Everyone is a level 1 Meister, rarely level 2. Characters from the series can be played and will be assigned as level 3 or higher Meisters.
7. I will only ever play as Death the Kid as a Meister (yes, it's a rule) and thus missions will be your responsibility. Most missions will be plot based and thus Kid will be around.

Welcome to MagiK Acadamy (the DWMA was introduced up top)!​

MagiK is a foundation rather than a school. We teach only the courses needed to hunt down and kill the Duras. Dura's being the cyrstaline demons that are born from fear and hatred in a person's heart. MagiK is handled mostly by the government and the rest is supplied by our very own Headmistress Lilith. You have been supplied a partner that was born and raised within MagiK's walls. They have been taught different things than you and still shall be required to attend class alongside you. These special boys and girls are exempt from any exams but are to be tested in other ways. During those tests, we ask that any Master, be they senior or freshman, not interviene and in fact...not attend at all. You will be notified three days before the test.​

Satomi tapped her finger irritably on the desktop. It was one of those days...the Weapon Sheath's tests. They weren't allowed to leave the classroom until it was over. All the time they were stuck within these walls was only half the time Ash and the other Weapon Sheaths had stayed here. What was so special about their tests? Ash wouldn't tell her, said it was a rule that they couldn't tell their Master's about it. Ash was a cute boy...but he was four years younger than she was. Everything about his so called devoid of emotion's behavior ticked her off. The boy was just acting cool and aloof, that's all. She looked over to the other Masters in class and grumbled.

Ash and the other Weapon Sheaths' test was almost always the same. Run the training program, drop and give them 500, draw their weapon form out of themselves to use in combat, and finally attempt to submit to a new Master. It was a test they went through every few months to see if their current Master was truely for them. If they could submit to a new Master...that person would keep them and their current Master would be executed. Weapon Sheaths were expected to keep a strict physical and mental checklist on themselves. They weren't allowed to eat fatty foods or subject themselves to mankind's luxuries such as women, booze, television or smoking. Most broke the television rule and they let it slide. Ash, himself was a devout follower of the current hit video games and watched a decent amount of anime. Satomi only allowed real tv when she was feeling...down. Something about the news made her perk back up and begin that facial gesture....what was it called? Smiling? He watched others run through the training program with his blue eyes and finally his time came. It was like running a military course. Step through the tires, crawl under the barbed wire, climb up the wall with the rope, climb across the...err...monkey-handels? and finally dodge the flaming arrows that rained down from the sky. They were predictable...and for them...doing 500 push-ups was easy since they'd been doing it since they could walk. Drawing out their weapon form...was a little more difficult for some. Generally, they relied on their Masters to pull it from them or they simply transformed into it, drawing the essence of it out from within and wrapping it around their bodies. But the last part was always the challenge. Each new person they brought before them was different and each time...if they did not submit, the person would die. It simply couldn't bother Ash or the others....but he'd never enjoyed the trauma of trying to match his soul to theirs.


Kid, Liz and Patty walked the halls of the DWMA, scouting out a new mission. He never liked the little tablets the missions were put up on...they weren't....symetrical.

 

Robin was walking along the halls of the DWMA, trying to think of ways to become stronger. In his mind, he was sure he would do anything and everything to rid the world of kishins, he was just unsure how to go about it. He continued walking, at a rather casual pace, keeping an eye out for any available missions that would help keep his mind occupied while he trained.

His white hair, while short, its fringe hung in his eyes. Irritating him, Robin quickly flicked the few strands of hair away from his eyes with a low grumble. Even the smallest of things frustrated him. He wondered exactly what his classes would be like with his teachers. He assumed there would be nothing different about them, that they would be the same as usual, but something in his gut told him things were about to change. Whether it was for better or worse, he had no idea, but he was almost certain something would happen. He shrugged off the thought hastily and continued looking for missions.

 

It was that time of day once again and Reiji was sitting bored in his classroom. Even though this wasn't the first time the weapon sheath test have occurred, waiting fro them to end always left him bored. Odds are that he wouldn't be feeling like this if he could ask his partner, Meredy, what exactly took place during the exam. Unfortunately it was against the rule, so he would just have to wait patiently like he always does.

As Kaito's eyes were practically glued to the wall with mission, he wondered which one wouldn't take too long. Unfortunately for him, his partner normally took care of the mission selecting and she wasn't with him at the moment. Great, this is going to take awhile. He thought as he continued his search.

 

Apollonia was running a little later than usual today.

Darn it, why did I think an extra 10 minute of sleep was what I needed? I'm going to kill Kaito for not waking me up!

The Greek-Jap ran up those dreaded stairs, it didn't affect her much. She enjoyed the exercise it gave her every morning.

Running into the building,she stopped, took a deep breath and got her "Calm-cool-and-collected" face on. Once her breathing and heart returned to normal she walked down the halls toward the mission bored. She smiled to see her weapon looking at the bored.

Maybe he found a good mission for us to do.

It was a thought...a silly thought. More than likely,knowing her weapon, he was trying to look for the easiest and quickest mission to do...And that did not fly well with Apollonia.

"Hey Kaito." she said, cheerfully and wrapped her arm around his shoulder,nonchalantly, and connected her fist to his head, rubbing and causing friction. "Why didn't you wake me up this morning?"she chuckled and let go of him. She gave a cocky half smile and turned her attention to bigger, more important things.

"Hmm," she hummed and looked at the missions posted up, a hand on her hip.

Looks like a lot of the other students got their missions already.

Her eye caught something for a quick second and she walked toward the right.

"What do you think of this one Kaito?: Thug Behram, Serial Killer, leader of a cult in India called the Thuggee Cult, it is said he killed 931 victums by strangling them."

She looked to him, "So?" Her grey eyes were sparkling with anticipation and eagerness.

 

"Guess It must've slipped my mind." He replied to his meister, hopping he wouldn't suffer for it later. He took a lot at the mission Apollonia had pointed to and looked at it for a moment. "Seems like it could pose a challenge." If it was up to him, he probably would've picked something quick and easy, but he knew Apollonia well enough to know that she would like this mission. "If your up for it."

 

Hell yes!We need a challenge." Apollonia smiled.

"Than it's settled. We're taking it on." slipping the little template from it's hook she took a better look at it and smiled. "Come on,"she looked up to Kaito. "Lets go to Lord Death and in form him our mission." Turning down the hall, she began to walk with her weapon to Death's office.

"This mission will more than likely take us to India, ya' know." she spoke up, her eyes removing themselves from the little template to look at Kaito. "After we can maybe visit the Taj Mahal, or ride an elephant, or-" she stopped herself realizing how overly excited she was sounding at the moment.

"Or something like that."

The Greek-Jap gave a little shy smile and shrug and looked back at the mission.

She couldn't help but get excited. the rush of battle, or going different places. It was just in her blood, like her mother.

 

"It would be nice to have a break." Kaito replied. He took notice of his partners excitement towards possibly going to India, which would work well for him if they did go.

As Taiki made his way through the halls of the DWMA he was briefly looking at the missions on the wall. Though he was more preoccupied in finding his meister. Fortunately for him, it didn't take long for him to find him staring at the mission. "Find any good missions?" He asked his partner.

 

Robin turned to look at Taiki, barely noticing him, as his focus on the mission board was so intense. "A few of them seem alright, but none of them really jump out at me. How am i supposed to turn you into a deathscythe if there's no good missions?" he whined. He turned his attention back to the board once more. "Surely there has to be SOMETHING on here worthwhile.." he said, thinking aloud.

 

Death the Kid slid his eyes towards Robin and Taiki,overhearing their conversation. He did a quick skim of the missions there and it was true...they were all boring and easy. Perhaps....no....but just maybe...no.... Patty slapped his back, "C'mon, Kid, pick one!" Her attitude was an annoyance and it wasn't he who needed to make any Death scythes...it was them. Turning, he walked over to the pair and slammed his hand on the board in front of Robin's face. Everyone knew who Death the Kid was and what he looked like along with Patty and Liz. Smirking, he pulled a slip of paper from his pocket and waved it in front of Robin's face. "If you're looking for a mission that isn't so....out of line as the rest of these. I suggest you take this one. I can't garantee you'll come back though." Liz frowned and Patty held those adorable puppy dog eyes flicking from Robin to the piece of paper to Kid's face.

 

Robin looked at the piece of paper. Not so much reading it as he was imagining why Death the Kid would say he may not come back. Before he'd even finished reading it, his hand was already ahead of his mind, snatching it out of Kid's hand impatiently. "That sounds like a challenge" he said, smirking slightly. He turned to Taiki. "You okay with us taking it?" he questioned, not willing to force Taiki to do something he didn't want to.

 

After a while they finally made it to Death's door. Apollonia opened the door and walked down that long path that held guillotines over their heads. Something she found very frightening on her first trip to his office. But now it was nothing. As they made it to the circular platform she saw there was no Death.

"I guess I'll just call him through the mirror."

The silver haired meister stood infront of the dark mirror, she took in a deep breath and exhaled, making the glass fog.

With her finger she wrote the numbers.

"42-42-564"

The mirror shined a bright light and Death himself appeared.

"Meister Apollonia Imada and Weapon Kaito calling in for you to accept our mission, Lord Shinigami."

 

"I'm gamed." Taiki replied. He'd looked at the slip of paper Death the Kid held in front of them for a quick second before making his decision. If Death the Kid offered it than it must be somewhat challenging.

 

Robin looked back at Kid. "Then i guess its settled. We'll do it" he said, determination firing him up as he looked down at the piece of paper he held.

 

Kid smiled and folded his arms, "Excellent. Now your mission is very simple. Somewhere in Vienna there's a demon called The Angel. Your mission is to go there and destroy it. Okay, off you go then, goodbye! Try not to get yourself killed." He waved them goodbye and pushed them towards the door. Liz and Patty hung off his arms, watching them go, "That was kind of cruel, Kid. Those kids will never survive, even if they do find out the truth." Patty nodded, "The Angel isn't even a Kishin. She's just a girl from that new school. What was it called again? Mojo?" "MagiK." "Right, MagiK." Kid brushed them off, "It's not a matter of if they find the truth out or die. I want to see that girl in action myself. Members of MagiK are like a secret organization...that school is a complete mystery to my father and I. In order to find out more about it...we'll have to send in a few pawns."

 

Robin nodded. "Guess we're off to Vienna then Taiki. Always wondered what that place is like, i guess now i'll find out huh" he said. He turned around and did a mock 2-fingered salute. "I guess i'll catch the rest of you around then" he said as he walked off, hoping Taiki would follow.

 

Taiki soon turned to follow he meister.

As Kaito continued to follow his partner to death's room, he quietly remained in his as he awaited Lord Death to speak.

 

Kid smiled, he would definately see them soon....sooner than they knew.

The mirror glowed and fizzled in like an old tv and Death appeared in the mirror. "Oh, hey there Meister Apollonia and Weapon Kaito! How goes it?"

OOC: definately need those Weapon Sheathes to post.

 

"Good, Lord Shinigami." she greeted him with a smile and than got straight to business.

"We contacted you, to give us the okay for our mission. We went ahead and took the Thug Behram case."

She lifted the wooden template and showed him.

 

Kaito remained silent by his meister side as he let her handle the mission request.

OOC: I could make one to help move the plot along.

 

OOC: It would be nice....hell I'll make a nice Master for you if you do.


BIC:

Death squinted at the tablet in her hand and frowned as best a Reaper could frown. "Oh yes that's right...if you're looking for excitement, I wouldn't recommend that one. Plus, just recently one of our senior Meisters took that job. I told Kid to put a taken tag on it...I wonder where he went off to. Oh, well...I've got a special mission for you two! One I think you'll like very much." He moved back from the mirror and held up a crude drawing of some boy. The picture had spiky yellow colored in hair and overly blue eyes. "This boy was seen recently around town. We have information that identifies him as a human helping Kishin take souls of young women. Death Scythe and I couldn't find him and neither could Soul. I want you two out on the streets looking too. If you find him...be sure and take him out. Human or not...I'm sure he's just one soul away from becoming a Kishin himself."
