*Chuckles* It's not a pokemon and mandrakes' tops look more like onions.

"Plants don't twitch when you poke them." She tugged on it and pulled out what looked to be an inch-high person connected to the leaf by its head that was red all over, had little beady eyes, and three fingers and toes on each hand and foot.

 

He rolls his eyes in boredom.

 

She held it up to him and it clung to his arm. "Seems that it likes you."

 

"How can anything like this one?"

 

She stroked his hair lovingly. "I do."

 

He rests his head on her shoulder.

 

She leaned her head against his as she moved her massaging hand down to his back.

 

He purrs contently.

 

She smiled. "Daddy likes making that noise too."

 

He stops. "This one shouldn't."

 

She hugged him. "You have as much of a right to be happy as anyone else in this family."

 

He summons Ifrit to his side. "What right?"

 

She hugged Ifrit's head, ignoring the burning pain that came from the action.

 

He pried her arms away from his aeon. "Blossom..."

 

She clung to it again. "I won't stop until you stop acting so depressed."

 

"Then don't talk about dad in front of me."
"Do you have enough rest, papa?"

 

"Why not?" "Almost."

 

"There's something I don't like. Now could you please drop it?"
"Wake me once you are done."

 

She nodded and let go of the aeon and noticed the plant creature that was in her hand the whole time wasn't burned. "That's weird."

 

He peers over her shoulder. "How is that possible?"
