"I didn't know you were scared of them."

 

He wraps his wings around himself to shield from the world.

 

He comfortingly pressed him close to his chest. She nudged the wings with her nose.

 

His wings shifted slightly so he could see. "What do you want?"

 

She nudged his hand.

 

He doesn't budge.
"When are we going to tell him? I can't stand this pain."

 

She wiggled her head under his hand. He shrugged.

 

He picks her up and pulls her into his lap.

 

She licked his face happily.

 

"What is this pup saying?" He asks as he doesn't budge.

 

"She's very happy to see you. She's very friendly towards people she just met."

 

"Nii-san said his two pups, including this one, are like him and his wife." He pets her back.

 

She pants happily as her tail wags.

 

He falls asleep.

 

She curled up on his lap and closed her eyes.

 

She heads back to her parents. "I talked to grandmother."

 

"What did she say?"

 

"I'm a little bit over average."

 

"And you were worrying that you were small."

 

"Grandma seen plenty of wolves in her time and what's average?"
