He rubbed her back.

 

She grew sleepy.
He lies down on his back against hard ground.

 

He draped a wing over her. He massaged his wings.

 

"Is it safe?"
He looks at his hand above his head.

 

"Yes." "What are you doing?"

 

"Thinking about stuff."

 

"Like what?"

 

He turns his head away.

 

He tilts his head. He rested his head on his wife's.

 

"The lifestream."
"How am I supposed to know our baby is coming?"
"If it is safe which means you took care of the problem, then why aren't you back papa?"

 

"Why?" "It'll be like when Sephiroth was born, I guess." "Luana is a baby right now and my body is forcing me to protect her against my will."

 

"What do you think of once you hear it?"
Her blood ran cold. "L-like a premonition?"
"So if we attack her then you'll fight?"

 

"Me trying to absorb it." He rubbed her back. "No, like his birth but without any of those weird things happening." "Unfortunately, yes."

 

"Forget I ask."
Her head nodded.
"Fine, I'll raise my siblings while you figure out to break that spell."

 

He wrapped his arms around her and sighed contently.

 

She snuggles closer to the body heat.

 

He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close against his chest.

 

She opens her eyes and smiles at her guardian.

 

He purred softly as he smiled at her tenderly.

 

She looks up at him questioningly. "Pa?"
