Sora's Darkness V4

He reached out to his brother. He picked him up. "What? Would you rather I get you an alphabet book instead?" He asked with a playful grin on his face.

 

She hugs her knees.
She brushes her hair against Avery's face.

 

He giggled and grabbed it. He patted her back. "I was just kidding."

 

She sings to her half-uncle.
"You know what? Maybe I should read an alphabet book."

 

He purred sleepily as his eyelids drooped. He tilted his head.

 

She gently pries his hand away from her hair.
She heads over to children's section and picks a book.

 

"M-Mommy." He said while drowsily reaching his arms out to her.

 

She tilts her head.
She takes her son and cradles him.
She began muttering to herself as her eyes focused on the book.

 

He fell asleep in her arms. A brief twinge of jealousy flashed through his eyes before being suppressed.

 

She turns her head to her husband. "Are you ok, dearest?"
He pulls away from his sister.

 

"It's nothing." She tilted her head.

 

"Sorry." He runs back to their room.
"What's going on papa?"
"It hurts me when you are in pain and I am still here because of you. Please don't hurt yourself."

 

"I'm fine." He lied. "Seems Chaos is jealous that Avery wants to spend all his time with Lucrecia instead of him." She followed him.

 

She looks down at her son then stands beside her husband and places his arm under their baby's back.
"I bet mom felt the same way when we were babies."
He sobs into his pillow.

 

He squirmed a bit. He took his hand back. He settled down. He spread his wings and took off elsewhere. She sat next to him and rubbed his back.

 

"Avery Crescent! Don't you ever do that again!"
"If we weren't siblings then I would love you wholly."

 

He whimpered in his sleep as tears gathered under his lids. "You still can."

 

He turns his head. "How?"
She sighs. "Your father is the reason I am here or I will cease to exist. Please love him as you love me."
She throws the book at Orochi.

 

"Yes, Mommy." He said in a dull voice. "Sissy and Daddy love each other wholly, so why can't we?" He caught it.

 

"I guess I have self-loathing in me."
"Your nieces and nephews are selective with their parents as you are. The least thing I want is a divorce. That would kill me."
She hugs him tightly in an iron embrace. "I can't stand it."
