"What is it?" He headed off to his bedroom.

 

"I found out who is my real father."

 

"You mean Daddy isn't your papa?"

 

"No, he's my grandpa but I like calling him papa."

 

"I don't blame you."

 

"My real dad is papa's puppet."

 

"Your hair does look kinda like his." He sat down next to Garnet and stroked her hair with his thumb.

 

He covers his hair with a blanket. "And I hate it."
She shifts then turns her head.

 

"Why don't you ask one of our grandmas to change it for you?"

 

"Later." He kissed her on the forehead.
"Good morning."

 

She giggles. He licked her cheek. "Morning."

 

"Are you mad?"
She giggles.

 

She hugged him. "Of course not." "Did you know that I don't have a heart within me?"

 

He hugs her back.
"No, I didn't know."

 

"Do you care?"

 

"I still do."

 

"I mean about the fact that I don't have a heart."

 

"Oh, it doesn't bother me but I still care about you."

 

His head flopped onto her stomach as a look of relief spread across his face.

 

"Are you ok?"
