She clung to him.

 

He stops. "Is there anything else?"

 

"I don't like fiery places like this." She muffled into his clothes.

 

"I know just the place." He opens the portal to allow the children through.

 

She walked through it.

 

He follows his sister.

 

"Where are we, Demon King?"

 

"A forest I found while looking through my wife's memories."
She nuzzles him.

 

He nuzzled her back.

 

"I love you papa."
"This feels peaceful."

 

He licked her hair. "I agree."

 

She giggles.
He sits down at the edge of the spring.

 

She stroked a crystal flower.

 

She sniffles.
"I'll come here instead."

 

"What's wrong, dear?"

 

"I'm not sure. Could we switch to fighting?"

 

"Very well. Punch me with all your might and we'll go from there."

 

She waits until he father is ready.

 

He stood up and held his arms in front of him in a defensive position.

 

She charges forward.
