He pierced mental claws into his mind.

 

"Do you want me or not? You pushed me away from my potential playmate."
She walks over to her son. "Your father and I wanted you to be happy. If changing events will achieve that goal, I would do it for you. I'm sure you want to keep Zack so we just have bring fate into our hands."

 

"Of course I do." He hissed wildly and squirmed. "Hojo did not want me to be happy!"

 

"Then treat me like you mean it!"
"He's not you biological father, Vincent is. Understood? Do you want to forget what it is like when Zack is around? You have a chance in this life and I want you to have that same feeling in the past."

 

He pierced needles into his mind. "I'm still not entirely convinced he's my father. Hojo is too vengeful to let the baby of the person that stole one of the people involved with the Jenova project live. I believe he wanted the child to have his calculating mind."

 

She curls into a ball and sniffles.
She hands Avery to Seph then runs off.

 

He hugged her tightly. Chaos and Seph ran after her.

 

"I hate this papa. Teach me what you want me to know."
She stands out in the sunlight, watching herself as her body peels.

 

He stroked her hair. He shielded her with his body and wings.

 

"Please, papa!"
"No, I have to atone my sins for not making my sons happy."

 

"Fighting or passion first?" He drew her into a bone-crushing hug.

 

"What are going to do in passion?"
She didn't respond.

 

"Help you adjust to your role as my lover." He led her back inside while keeping her hidden from the sun.

 

"I want the latter one."
She blocks off all mental communications as her mind becomes numb.

 

He kissed her lips. He caressed her cheek. "Mom, I'm fine right now. Snap out of this or you'll make your newest son sad."

 

She kisses him in return.
She lifts her head to stare at the ceiling with the same expression. "Avery?"

 

"Yeah, Mommy?"

 

"Do you want to pursue your dream with music?"

 

"More than anything I can think of."

 

Her eyes brightened to their usual sparkle. "You can always start with a drum."
