"I'll look after the castle while you rest, grandpa."
"Can't I just heal you like I always do?"

 

"His body is rejecting instantaneous healing except for a Lifestream."

 

She kisses her beloved as the Lifestream she carries transfers to him and her appearance turns back with green eyes and silver hair.
She tugs her brother's sleeve. "Since when did mom have papa's hair?"

 

"It's working faster now, but not nearly as fast as I would like." "Before she left for two centuries, I remember her like that."

 

"Anything else, dear?"
"But I don't get that other look."

 

"I'm fine." "What other look?"

 

"That brown hair part."
She places his coat on the floor beside him then leaves his room.

 

"That's how she orignally looked before she and our dad had a blood transfuion." She tucked him in and kissed his forehead as he smiled like a content and sleepy child.

 

She tilts her head. "What's that?"

 

"His blood mixed with hers in her body."

 

"Why is mommy so special that we exist?"

 

"Our father found her being experimented on as a baby like him and took her to raise as his own."

 

"Then what happened after that?"
She walks to the edge of the roof, looking down into the darkness below as dreadful feelings reaches to her nerves.

 

"She had a child with the spiky-haired guy here before hooking up with our father."

 

He pulls his mother then holds her against his chest. "Grandpa doesn't want to see you like this, mom."
"I know, honey. I'm scared Eberhart is going to find papa like this."
He raises an eyebrow. "Are you ok?"
"And then?"

 

"Don't worry about him, I'll protect him if he does find him." "I was born, then you and then you and mom mysteriously disappeared for two hundred years."

 

"So mom was his adopted daughter then use blood transfusion then we have a half sibling then we came along?"
"I don't know where her mind is. She's talking to me like I'm dad."

 

"Pretty much."

 

"You do have dad's hair."
She wraps her arms around his neck.

 

He weakly growled mentally, but couldn't do anything else.
