"Any bad news about my health or start naming them?"
"How come we can't see the sun?"

 

"Nothing's wrong with you." "You all are vampires. The sun will burn your flesh if you come into contact with it."

 

"Can all five of us leave yet?"
"That's cruel."

 

"Yes." He snorted. "You don't know the definition of cruel until you meet my father."

 

She waits until her pups are safe before they move anywhere else.
"How come dad isn't in his right mind?"

 

"Your mother left him and since he depended on her to mantain his sanity, it broke. He never had a stable sanity to begin with."

 

"Why did mom leave dad?" She asks sadly.
"What looks normal taking newborn wolf pups out of of the vet?"

 

He shrugged. "It's just one of those adult things I guess." He said, not having the heart to tell her the truth. "We could carry them in a basket."

 

"Bad idea. Basket alone will bring them to their deaths." She nuzzles one of them who is seeking for their mother while the others huddle together.
She tilts her head. "What 'adult thing'?"

 

"I meant put some padding like soft pillows or blankets in it, then put the pups on top of it." He shrugged again.

 

"I'm talking about the vampire part of them." She snapped as she guides one back with her paw.
She sighs. "So much for picturing a happy family."

 

"We can put them in the pockets on the inside of my trenchcoat. They're large enough for them." "You still have us."

 

"That's only half of what I wanted."
"That's good enough."
"You better have a good explanation, princess." He said as he folded his arms across his chest.
She turns her head away. "Cloud and I divorced over two hundred years ago."

 

He carefully put the pups into the pockets and made sure they were safe before taking them and leading Mei outside and teleporting back to Seph.

 

She follows after him while comforting one of them.

 

He got a dog bed with raised sides so the pups wouldn't crawl out of it, then took them out of his trenchcoat and put them on the bed. "Aw, they're cute."

Trust me, newborn pups crawl around a lot.

 

She lies down inside the dog bed and watches them crawl their way to her scent.
"What should we name that one?" She asks as she points to the one that's pushing other two.

 

"How about Shihab?"

 

"That sounds wonderful." She said in Jenovian.

 

He stroked one of the tiny pup's heads with a finger.
