She heard their names and nudges his hand with her nose.

 

He got up and followed the attendant.

 

She hurries after him.

 

"Is there anything in particular that you want to be checked out other than the pups?"

 

"Any common illness those dogs get."

 

He sighed to himself.

 

"What's wrong?"

 

"Just thinking about your father's life. All his misery comes back to his father." He said as he lied down with her on his stomach as he gazed at the stars.

 

"So grandpa is the bad guy."

 

"Yes, he made us the monsters that we are. Luckily, he's dead now, so we don't have to worry about him."

 

She looks at the sky in the opposite direction. "Dad is like my star before I met you."

 

"And Jenova was ours. Everyone thought of her as some parasite, a monster, a virus to humanity, except us."

 

"Is the vet done?"

 

"Looks like it." "Anything else you want to know about him?"

 

"And our pups?"
"Why didn't he have friends like him?"
