"Fine." He teleported after Malik.

 

He remain in his phoenix form with his head low.

 

He stroked the firebird's head softly.

 

He was too locked up to be aware of his presence.
"Relax and watch." He approaches Lucrecia while holding Seph.
She tugs on her grandmother's tentacle gently. "Teach me more about celestial bodies."
"How happy are you, Orochi?"

 

He poked his mind. "How am I able to relax when you're likely going to get yourself killed?!" He said as he tightened his grip on his neck. He growled softly while hugging Lucrecia protectively. She picked her up. "Anything specific?" "Very happy."

 

She mentally smiles. "I'm glad to hear it."
She reassures her beloved by rubbing his hand in small circles. "Yes, how can I help you?"
"Do you two know who this is?" He asks as he gestures to Seph.
He lifts his head up then looks around to find nothing.
She shook her head.

 

He teleported back to Luana. "It's no use." "Have you gone mad, Strife? That's Seph." "Want to work on your star some more?"

 

"Then give him some time."
"Who goes there?!"
"Good."

 

He sat down next to her. He looked up to him with a confused look on his face.

 

"According to Seph, you two abandoned him and I believe he should stay in your family if you follow his conditions."

 

"But I want to stay with you."

 

"I'm not supposed to be happy because of Sephiroth, but I'll stay with you if you insist."
He lowers his head. "Ronda-chan..."
She lifts her head then looks around.
"Seph, I told you can go to Sephiroth but I never said anything about Strife."
She stirs awake. "How long have I been asleep, papa?"

 

He smiled happily and buried his face in his chest. "About a day."

 

"It feels like longer..." She looks down at her fin to see strange rainbow glow around her. "What are these and where are we?"
"Chaos, do something!"
He leaves the couple alone and return back to Jenova cookies and picked up two for himself and Seph.

 

"Those are called pyreflies and we're in a place called Macalania Forest." He nibbled on his cookie while looking up at Cloud with childish adoration shining bright in his eyes. "Seph chose Cloud over us, I can do nothing."

 

"What are pyreflies?"
She weaves her fingers through her daughter's hair.
He takes a bite on his. "This is good, Seph."
She breaks away then storms off to the lab.

 

"They're basically souls." He just continued staring up at him reverently. He followed her but stayed outside the lab.

 

She watches them in awe.
"What's wrong? Is your fear stronger than your love for me?"
He mentally sighs as he knew he'll never get used to this treatment.

 

"You've never been in one of those tubes, I have."
