He leans against the counter. "Why are you anxious?"
She jumps out of her father's arms and hides underneath the bed.

 

"W-what if she tries to k-kill you?" He got down on the floor and looked under the bed. "What's wrong?"

 

"She won't. If I die, you'll be sad then that makes Sephiroth sad and that makes her miserable. It is just like dominos falling."
"Nothing feels the same." She replies in her dark corner.

 

He hugged his leg. "I hope you're right." "You'll get used to it."

 

She shook her head.
"What about your cookies? Are we going to put the corpse in here?"

 

"How should I know? You're the cook." He held his arms out to her for a hug.

 

"I'm allowing you to throw in whatever parts this bowl because it is yours."
She goes up to her father.

 

He put in what was left of the heart and some mako. He drew her into a gentle embrace.

 

"I hate this."
He hands him a wooden spoon. "If that's all then you can stir it up."
Tears fall down from her eyes.

 

He stroked her hair. He started stirring it up while chopping the heart into chunks. He stroked her ears.

 

She nuzzles his hand.
"Not me, my son."

 

"Ronda is Orochi's child and he can choose to not let anyone else take care of her." He stroked her back.

 

"But everything he has put effort into will be nothing but a dream." She lowers her head.
"I don't understand you father."

 

"Just trying to make you feel comfy." He gave the bowl back to Cloud when he thought it looked good.

 

He checks then makes a nod of approval. He places them on a cooking sheet into small piles then places them into the oven. "Want to lick the leftovers?"
She waves a hand in front of her nose. "Did he take you to a lily pond or something?"

 

He nodded eagerly.

 

He hands the bowl and the wooden spoon to the child.
"In the ocean!"

 

He licked the raw dough off them happily. "He took you swimming in the ocean?!" He asked in disbelief.

 

"What do you want to call this one?" He asks as he watches him.
She winces. "Well, it was more like we stay in the surface during the nighttime and during the day we stay in a cave. Tomorrow we were supposed to go underwater..."

 

"What do you mean?" He said with the spoon in his mouth. "I'm not mad at you, just surprised."
