I remember reading that scene in the manga.
"That's fine. But I guarantee that won't happen. Say sweetheart, do you realize their relationship is more like sibling love? Your father told me you thought it was a parent and child kind."

 

"Does it really matter since I hate them?" "Lucrecia should know better than this." He muttered as he summoned a blanket to his hands. He took off Seph's dripping clothes and wrapped the blanket around him.

 

"What are you going to do to your daughter if my generosity fails?"
He offers Seph a hot cocoa.

 

He shrugged. He sniffed it suspiciously. "Is it sugar-free?"

 

He nods. "I'm aware how Sephiroth can be with sugar."
She watches her son teaching her tricks and smiles warmly.

 

He took it and sipped it before licking his lips and drinking more.

 

He walks away to search for a book.
"What are you going to do to Malik if my generosity works?"

 

Yet again, he shrugged.

 

"You're pretty good at it." He praises. "What do you think about swimming?"
"Is that like moving in water?"
He nods.

 

He got finished with the drink and looked around for Cloud.

 

He sits down on a chair underneath a lamp.

 

He climbed on the chair next to him with the blanket still wrapped around him and the mug in his hand. "What do you call this stuff?" He asked as he looked at the empty mug.

 

He places a bookmark on the spine before closing it. "That's called hot chocolate. During my youth, I would drink that when I'm really sad, angry, or even winter times. I put sugar-free just for you. Why, do you like it?"

 

He nodded as his eyes filled with awe. "They never gave me stuff that tasted this good in the labs."

 

"Once I show you more, I'm going to be a chef." He stares at the bookcover as his eyes sadden. "But they are nothing more than memories."

 

He put his head on his leg as he patted his hand with a tentacle.

 

"Have you ever tried cookies?"

 

He tilted his head curiously. "What are those?"
