"There's nothing I could think of that could be wrong with them." He fluttered his wings to shake the water off them but otherwise stayed motionless.

 

"May I take a sample of my mother's blood for examination purposes?"

 

"If you can persuade her to do it then yes."

 

"Mom, may I take a sample of your blood? Zack has suspicions about your genes."
She summons a tube into her hand then cuts her wrist as it bleeds into the container then seals it. "It may be salty from the rain." She said as she sends it to her son.
She picks it up off the floor.

 

He shivered from the cold and sneezed.

 

She stands on her hind legs with support from the wall as she tries to give it to her uncle. "Can't...reach."

 

He took it from her and gave it to Malik.

 

He takes it then opens the lid. "You know this can mean you are no longer my grandfather, right?"

 

"Like I care." He whimpered and coughed.

 

Her wing hovers above the little body.
He relishes his nourishment as it was intoxicating in his mouth.
She tilts her head.

 

He shivered and leaned against Luana.

 

She wraps her arms around him. "You can stay here as long as you like."
He licks his lips. "I was right."

 

He coughed that shook his body.

 

She makes a barrier around him.
"Your blood transfusion has faded."

 

"She doesn't care about me." "Easy enough to redo."

 

"Are you talking about Lucrecia?"
"Can't afford that risk, I'm afraid."

 

He nodded. "Why not?"

 

"Why do you say that?"
"I'm concern about her humanity and won't look the same as now."

 

"She likes her grandchildren more than me and they keep coming to her so I can't spend any time with her and she ignores me. Even now I'm sick and she's not doing anything."
