"Did he have hair like a chocobo's tail feathers? If so, I saw him with Zack a few times, both before and after Nibelheim."

 

She nods. "She attacked us because we killed him. That was the second time he died." She shrugs her shoulders. "It wasn't like we treated him as human anyway."
She falls on her side. "Why couldn't you stay...?"

 

"Why'd you kill him?"

 

"I provoked him and he almost killed me and my baby."

 

He put his hand on her stomach. "You're lucky to be on his good side. Is he still cranky if you wake him up?"

 

"No, our minds are still active. Sometimes he can hear you when you are talking." She said as she strokes her husband's hair.

 

"He never let anyone touch his hair before."

 

She smiles warmly. "We are really close. Whenever I cry or really upset, he always calms me down by doing this."

 

"As I did as well." He looked up. "What was that?"

 

"Telepathy. You can only acquire this ability when you have Jenova's cells. Basically you talk to people with your mind. The voice was Jenova herself."

 

"I expected it to be different, more powerful. What I heard was like a playful teenager, almost like Sephiroth's tone when he was one."

 

"Then she must be in her teenage human form. The kids look up to her when other adults won't help."
He teleports where he can sense his sister then picks her up and teleports back to the library.

 

"As well as Sephiroth." "Who was that? It sounded like him." He curled up into a ball.

 

"That is his younger self in his mind but he's more mature than this one. In this castle, we call him Seph."
"If you really want to save her, make an antidote." He leaves his siblings alone so he can go back to his studies.

 

He started coughing as he wrapped an arm around his stomach. "What would be the point? She doesn't love me anymore and will just try to kill herself again."

 

"We can always bring up the Crescent-Strife tradition of playing puppet. Besides, she's mad at your parents, not hating you. The more you ponder, the lesser chance you can be with her."
"What is wrong, honey? Are you hungry, in pain, or-" She covers a hand over her mouth and coughs up blood then lies down beside her husband.

 

He got up and started preparing an antidote. He eventually hacked up a torn, drool-soaked black shoe. "I've always known you've had odd tastes friend," He said as he picked up the shoe between two fingertips, "but I didn't think you would go around munching peoples' shoes." "It's easy to mistake a blood-drenched shoe for a tasty piece of flesh or an organ."

 

"He gnaws on bones too."

 

"I already knew about his tendancy to gnaw on things, but he usually doesn't swallow them." "Must've accidentally swallowed it without noticing while I was eating Cloud."
