"Sorry." She made her cousin face another direction. "How would you think the Strife siblings will react?"
He is still holding his nose. "I'm guessing the corpse is their father. Malik is unpredictable but his reaction is like bringing abyss itself. As for Mei," he swallows, "she'll cut ties from the Crescent family."

 

"Which will then cause our families to engage in all-out warfare."

 

"Any ideas to prevent that from happening once we tell them?"

 

He shook his head. "You know I'm not any good at this peace stuff."

 

She sighs. "I know. But our grandchildren...they wouldn't understand and I don't want them to be like Orochi when I left him."

 

"I know." He said as he draped a bare arm across her shoulders and pulled her close.

 

"May I suggest a meeting with the children? I'll puppy-sit the younger ones."
"It concerns only Malik, Orochi, and Mei."

 

"I don't see how that will help, but I'll go along with it anyway." He said as he put on his old trenchcoat and SOLDIER pants and strapped Masamune to his side.

 

She picks up her clothes. "I'll be right back." She heads to her old room.
"Seems like Lu doesn't like to lie."

 

"She certainly knows how to keep secrets though."

 

She throws her old clothes into the laundry and puts on new ones.
"Can you blame her? She grew up with secrets around each corner."

 

"Reminds me of the Nibelheim Mansion. Countless secrets waiting behind each book's cover."

 

She knocks on Orochi's door. "Could you two please come to your father? There's something we have to discuss."
She nudges her husband. "I wonder what it is."

 

He stretched and yawned. He walked to a room that was like a study and sat behind the only desk in the room with three chairs in front of it.

 

She stands in the doorway, waiting for her husband's acknowledgement.
She stretches then jumps off the bed.
He teleports to the puppies and then counted them. "Where is Sephana?"

 

He nodded as settled his face into the emotionless mask he wore over two hundred years ago. She sniffled. "She ran away." He followed her.

 

"Don't worry, little one, I'll bring her back."
She walks over to his side then places her hand on his shoulder.
She heads over where she can smell her trainer.

 

He shrugged off her hand as he threaded his fingers together and rested his chin on them. "What about Malik?"

 

"Um..."
"Right here grandpa." He said under a pile of books. He stands up then brushes his clothes and stand behind the chair that's the closest to the door. "I was doing research to contain the temperature in my body."
He found his niece with a pool of blood around her. He picks her up then carries her to the fountain. "Found her."

 

"You're not going to find much about it in here. Being my own private library, there's what I managed to scrounge up about the Jenovian race, other alien races, and a few books of combat and magic. Try the elements section in the normal library after this." She put her wet nose against her face.
