Sora's Darkness *V2*

She quiets down but sniffles every so often.
Once she couldn't see any more crumbs, she jumps onto the table that contains the cake.

 

He picked her up before she could get to it. "No." He said sternly. He wrapped an arm around her waist. "May I have this dance?"

 

Her ears lay flat against her skull as she whimpers.
She nods, afraid her voice will betray her.

 

He loosened his grip on her as he set his other hand on her shoulder and began their dance. "I'm not mad, you just have to figure out what's right and wrong. You can ask for some more cake, but you can't just chew into it."

 

She whimpers louder.
She places her hand on his shoulder.

 

"It's okay." He said as he petted her. Eventually, ghosts from his past appeared within the hall, his transparent mother hugging Vincent, his demented father muttering to himself in a corner, Angeal and Genesis whispering to themselves on what prank to pull on him next that they could get away with, Aerith standing out alone, and many more. "And before you ask, this doesn't mean you have to dance with Hojo."

 

"I wish...Malik was still here, maybe I could have give him..."
She howls.
She heard her child and barges the door.

 

"Shhh." He turned his head to Cloud then gestured to Aerith. "Doesn't she look a bit lonely?"

 

He nods then walks over to Aerith with no emotion through his eyes.
She rests her head on his chest. "I hope the Lifestream turns him into a phoenix."

 

She wrapped her transparent arms around his neck. "Cloud, you're back!"

 

"So it seems." He replied monotone.
She grabs Ronda by the neck then pulls her away.
"Sorry, I can't do this." She breaks away then runs to her room.

 

"What's wrong, Cloud?" He ran after her.

 

She watches her parents passed by her and her grandma. "Are they going to break up?" She asks with fear in her voice.
"It's nothing."

 

She hugged her. "I'm not sure." "Stop hiding your feelings. I know when something's bothering you." She said as she tugged a spiky tip of his hair.

 

He grabs her wrist. "I'm just an empty shell, there's no feelings."
She takes her wedding gown off and puts on casual clothes.

 

She frowns. "You've been listening to Sephiroth again, haven't you?" He did the same thing as her and settled down next to her. "I've been meaning to ask you, why did the ring turn red when you put it on me?"

 

"Red means I'm alive and blue is when I'm sent to oblivion."
"So what? I don't care."

 

"Don't let him get to you. You're the one who has control over your life, not him." She moved her hand to his chest. "That beating is a sign you still have emotions, whether he says so or not." He held her hand in his. "I hope it never turns blue then."

 

He pries her hands away from him. "His word dictates my life."
"Don't worry about me, really."

 

"Let's see if we can do something about that." Her hand glowed white and she moved it up to Cloud's head. Her hand passed through into his mind and she started gently massaging and healing it. She hissed. "Ancient." She snarled.
