Sokka drunk?

Ok, I had planned to head to bed just now, but my little brother is watching Avatar, and it's one of the desert episodes, and it's where Sokka drinks the cactus juice. But, now that I think about it, isn't this basically the first time that Nick has put someone drunk on their show? I mean, he just has to be drunk or whatever to be acting the way he is

 

It's more like high and I doubt it's the first time. It was a natural thing that made him that way and it was used mostly for comic relief, nothing bad came from it.
Avatar also hinted at mass murder.

Nick is a bit less conservative than Disney is, and I'm thankful for that.

But if you ask me, it's more like he's on LSD than anything else.

yhea, one of my favorite episodes, but that's just nick trolling, since technically he drank no alcohol(even though the show has shown alcohol) and the effect was temporal and there was no permanent damage what-so-ever, but yhea its like he´s drunk/doped.

 

that's what I mean. I mean, come on, you can't say that doesn't resemble some kind of drunkness or whatever. Not too mention, they completely skip him being sober.

And I would believe Nick would tell you the cactus juice would just make him "loopy/crazy", not drunk. It's nothing new though, in the Spongebob movie they get "drunk" off icecream.

 

I've always wondered about that myself, actually.

However, I'm tending to lean more towards him just being goo-goo-gaa-gaa than outright drunk.

Yeah, I agree with this. We also have to remember that they were in a desert at the time (and were pretty angsty), so really anything could have tipped the balance between angst and loopy. And desert drinks in a Water Tribe member's belly seems to lean more towards loopy.

Well you can think what you want, all I'm saying is if you were to send an e-mail or a letter to Nickelodeon studios about it I would guarantee you that they would simply say he wasn't drunk, and that the juice made him "loopy/crazy". An excuse? Probably. A good enough one? Certainly.
